The Phantom of the Opera is not only the longest running musical in Broadway history, but also one of the most successful shows internationally. In 2010, Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber premiered a sequel of the musical London's West End with such stars as Sierra Boggess and Ramin Karimloo. LOVE NEVER DIES, which has since successfully played in Australia (where it was filmed and released on DVD), Denmark and Japan, and will tour in the US in 2017, is now coming to the stage in Germany. Following the celebrated success of the return of Phantom of The Opera last year, Stage Entertainment will produce the fascinating sequel this fall. The show will begin preview at the Stage Operettenhaus in in Hamburg on October 8, with an official opening set for October 16.

BroadwayWorld has just learned that the Phantom will soon return to America in the continuation of Andrew Lloyd Webber's most beloved musical. Love Never Dies is set to tour North America in 2017. This is the highly acclaimed follow up musical to the 1986 love story The Phantom of the Opera set against the spellbinding backdrop of Coney Island. A German production is also set to open in Hamburg this fall.  Casting has not yet been announced.

Andrew Lloyd Webber revealed in a recent interview with Scotsman.com that the Australian version of LOVE NEVER DIES will indeed make its way back to the UK. He told Scotsman: 'The Australian production, which was wonderful - the London production wasn't very good, the Australians got it right - is going out next year. The plan is, that will go on the road here, in the autumn of next year.'

Love Never Dies, the sequel to The Phantom of the Opera, will arrive in movie theatres on February 28, and according to Andrew Lloyd Webber, all hope might not be lost for bringing the new musical to Broadway. He told Reuters: 'I think it will inevitably come, at some point. But in many ways I now feel like I've closed the chapter on it. The film that's being shown is something I'm very, very proud of. So in a way it doesn't really matter if it comes tomorrow or five years' time. But I'm sure it will.'
