On Friday, May 15th 2009, Scott Schechter died of a sudden heart attack. Scott was instrumental in many re-releases of Liza and Judy's work and was spearheading the upcoming release of Judy & Liza Live at the Pallaium CD when he died. Block, currently starring on Broadway in the role of Judy Bernly in 9 to 5: The Musical, will be making a triumphant return to Birdland to celebrate the release of her debut album, 'This Place I Know,' on Monday, July 13th at 7pm.
