Dr. Perry is an anthropologist interested in cross-cultural and long-term perspectives on human-environment interactions. At the core of her interdisciplinary teaching and research are coastal societies, hunter-gatherer societies, and Native American societies. Dr. Delaney is an anthropologist whose specific research interests focus on human adaptations to the natural and cultural realms. She is currently engaged in research understanding the prehistoric habitation of Ventura County area as well as the interaction between the interior, coastal and island populations. Dr. Delaney and Dr. Perry will team to present an overview what we know about prehistoric Californians and the science that backs up this knowledge.
