The Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza Foundation presents SAVION GLOVER in SoLe Sanctuary in the Fred Kavli Theatre at 8:00 pm tonight, March 15, 2013.

The Tony-winning hoofer, choreographer and producer Savion Glover's numerous credits include the Broadway shows The Tap Dance Kid; Black and Blue; Jelly's Last Jam; and the wildly successful Bring in 'da Noise, Bring in 'da Funk, and the films Tap with Gregory Hines and Sammy Davis Jr.; Bamboozled by Spike Lee; and Happy Feet, an Academy Award winner choreographed by Glover. The Seattle Times cheered the "Best Choreography" Tony winner, noting his "restless drive to branch out, [and] change it up."

In SoLe Sanctuary Savion Glover's reverence for the art of tap is put to the stage literally in the form of a living altar where he can pay his respects to the craft that he has perfected. Described by the New York Times as "...barebones and pure, full of the kind of rhythmic innovation that trips down one path, splinters off in different directions and then sweeps back home."

Single tickets are $59-$34 with group discounts available.
