Birdie Productions are ecstatic to present FAME, from 18th- 27th August 2017 at the Bryan Brown Theatre in Bankstown. With performances from Kat Hoyos from Here Come the Habibs and Lyndall Wennekes from The Voice, this production is sure to be something to remember!

Kat Hoyos will play Carmen Diaz in FAME. Kat currently stars as Layla Habib in Channel Nine's comedy series Here Come The Habibs and was recently nominated for BEST NEW TALENT in the 2017 TV Week Logie Awards, and the TV series has been nominated for BEST NEW DRAMA. Kat's stage credits include the Australian tours of Jersey Boys, Hairspray, Bring it On the Musical and Xanadu at Sydney's acclaimed Hayes Theatre.

Lyndall Wennekes makes her Musical Theatre debut as Serena Katz in FAME. Lyndall recently earned a place as a contestant on The Voice Australia (Season Four). She was the last one standing for Team Delta and earned her place in the Top 6 for the season. Lyndall had her first taste of fame as a Young Talent Team Member in the revamped: Young Talent Time in 2012, being mentored by artists such as Tina Arena, Rob Mills and Stan Walker. Lyndall went on a national tour with Young Talent Time and danced in various shows including Dance Academy, X Factor and So You Think You Can Dance.

Birdie Productions are a Pro-Am theatre company that made its debut into the theatrical scene in 2015 with the toe tapping, Hot Shoe Shuffle starring Daryl Somers. Since their debut, they have produced Keating!, 13: A New Musical and most recently, Seussical which starred Sam Moran (of Wiggles fame).

Birdie Productions is proud to be supporting HEADSPACE Bankstown for the production of Fame!

Headspace is the National Youth Mental Health Foundation providing early intervention mental health services to 12-25 year olds, along with assistance in promoting young peoples' wellbeing. This covers four core areas: mental health, physical health, work and study support and alcohol and other drug services.
