Selected as the special rent performance for 2010 in the Sejong Center. "Mozart!" the musical from Vienna, Austria is being performed for the first time in Korea. The musical "Mozart!" is a Australian musical made by world-renowned play writer Michael Kunze and Grammy Award winner Sylvester Levay. It will be presented in the Sejong Center for the Performing Arts during January 20 to February 21 of 2010.

The musical "Mozart!" which will be the first Vienna musical to be performed in Korea, is a very prestigious performing work that is licensed only to the most respected theaters of the world.

The beautiful and panoramic stage design will make you feel like you are watching a movie masterpiece. The fusion music of classical and rock will be played by the 28 member orchestra. In addition, more than 500 of the dazzling costumes and specially designed wigs, masks, and props, based on historic research, will enhance the depth of this musical work.

For translation of the book, conductor Park Young-min, who graduated the Salzburg Mozarteum in Austria and received the Paumgartner Medal from the International Foundation Mozarteum, took charge and upgraded the quality of the licensed foreign musical with his indepth comprehension of the European original work and music.

Um Hong-hyeon, the producer of Musical ‘Mozart!' remarked that this musical will be the perfect piece for Korean audience who seek for better musical performances in terms of music and overall composition. Also he added that, starting from the Musical ‘Mozart,' he will gradually present authentic Vienna musicals such as ‘Elizabeth,' ‘Dance of the Vampire,' and ‘Rudolph,' just like he has introduced Czech musicals such as ‘The Three Musketeers,' ‘Hamlet,' and ‘Dracula' among the musicals from the Broadway and the West end.
