South Bend Civic Theatre brings fun back to the Firehouse Theatre for the regional premiere of Treasure Island: A Musical Panto, book by Kathryn Peterson, music and lyrics by Michael Ogbom. SBCT introduces audiences to the world of the Panto - a theatrical form of knockabout farce! Taking the classic tale of pirates and adventure, a whole new staging will entertain and amuse with vaudeville style gags, music and larger than life characters. Audiences will experience a show full of rollicking fun, broad physical comedy, lots of audience participation and introduce this high energy style of the Panto to young and old.

Jewel Abram-Copenhaver and Mark Abram-Copenhaver direct the pirate crew: Josie Burck, Debbie Grattan, Daniel Grey, William Hunt, Allison Jones, T.J. Keeler, Anna Kelley, Dominick King, Andy Martinez, Gary Oesch, Mimi Panzica, Natalie Rarick, Joe Roman, Debbie Taylor, and Ed Wallin.

Sponsors for Treasure Island: A Musical Panto are Villing and Company, Alfred H. and Martha J. Choitz, Memorial Children's Hospital, Indiana Michigan Power, Nyloncraft, and Schindler, Olson and Currey.

Treasure Island: A Musical Panto performs in SBCT's Firehouse Theatre; located at 701 Portage Ave. Seating is limited so purchasing tickets in advance is highly recommended. Today, October 3-12. Performances are 7:30 PM Wednesdays through Sundays, with 2:00 PM matinees on Saturdays and Sundays. Tickets are $10. To purchase tickets, call 574-234-1112 or online sbct.org.
