The Sioux Empire Community Theatre in Sioux Falls, South Dakota is proud to present THE ODD COUPLE, by Neil Simon, February 8 through March 6.

The Odd Couple, by Neil Simon is arguably the funniest comedy of all time. The play opens at the messy apartment of divorced Oscar Madison with his poker buddies arriving to play cards. (No wonder his wife left him.) Last to arrive is Felix Unger who has recently separated from his wife and almost suicidal about it. When the two men decide to move in together the volatile mix of ultimate slob and super neatnik leads to chaos for them, but hysterical laugh-out-loud comedy for us.

Performances: Feb 18-20, 25-27, and Mar 4-6 (Fridays & Saturdays at 8pm and Sundays at 2pm)

Box office and online ordering will be open to the general public on February 7, 2011

Individual tickets are $15 and Season Tickets are only $27 to reserve seating early for The Odd Couple and Annie. All performances will be held at the historic Orpehum Theater in downtown Sioux Falls, 315 N. Phillips Avenue.

Believing that local theatre is vital to the fabric of the community, a number of local theatre enthusiasts began meeting in the Spring of 2003 to explore the possibility of funding a brand-new community theatre. After input from the Sioux Empire Arts Council, the business community, the City of Sioux Falls, and local artists and educators, the Sioux Empire Community Theatre (SECT) was born. In the summer of 2003 SECT was formally organized and incorporated with the State of South Dakota. A Board of Directors was selected, and at the first board meeting the Board of members dipped into their pockets to come up with enough money for a Post Office box. In September 2004 SECT became a 501 (C) (3) organization. For information on the Sioux Empire Community Theatre call 605-360-4800 or visit www.mysect.org.
