The sweet, nerdy Chicklet Forrest desperately wants to be in the cool crowd on Malibu Beach, circa 1962.

The Museum of the City of New York just presented legendary composer and lyricist Stephen Sondheim with its Louis Auchincloss Prize at a gala dinner that included a musical tribute featuring Tony Award winners and nominees. Cabaret! will took place last night, November 19th; it was a rare opportunity to recognize a living legend, and in an intimate setting. Singing Sondheim favorites were some of musical theater's most talented performers, including Gregg Edelman, Harvey Evans, Judy Kaye, Howard McGillin, Victoria Mallory, and Sarah Stiles under the direction of Michael Montel and music director Larry Yurman. Construction work for the visionary venue within Hamburg's Grossmarkt will start in the west part of the middle hall in September 2013. Work is expected to be finished by late 2014 / early 2015. Mehr! Entertainment Group, which currently runs seven venues in Germany, will expand its portfolio by a most prominent location within the cultural metropolis of Hamburg. On April 26th, 2013, Juliet Mills, Maxwell Caulfield, Jennifer Cody and Doug Plaut will perform in a benefit reading of Arthur Kopit's 1962 play 'OH DAD, POOR DAD, MAMA'S HUNG YOU IN THE CLOSET AND I'M FEELIN' SO SAD' at the Bruce Museum in Greenwich, CT (right next to the Greenwich train station for all the Urban dwellers).
