Court Theatre, under the continuing leadership of Charles Newell, Marilyn F. Vitale Artistic Director, continues its 2017/18 season with Guess Who's Coming to Dinner by Todd Kreidler (based on the screenplay by William Rose), directed by Marti Lyons with Associate Director Wardell Julius Clark. Guess Who's Coming to Dinner runs March 15 - April 15, 2018 at Court Theatre, 5535 S. Ellis Ave. The press opening is Saturday, March 24, 2018 at 8:00pm.

The game is afoot this Halloween during Orlando Shakespeare Theater in Partnership with UCF's (Orlando Shakes) production of The Hound of the Baskervilles, running from October 11 November 19, 2017 in the Goldman Theater. Set in the foothills of England's countryside, Steven Canny and John Nicholson's play puts a hilarious spin on Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's novel, The Hound of the Baskervilles. Is anything really what it seems to be? Odyssey Theatre Ensemble presents a politically charged and emotionally urgent new play by acclaimed Chilean playwright Guillermo Calderon. Bart DeLorenzo directs the West Coast premiere of Kiss for an April 29 opening at the Odyssey Theatre.

Porchlight Music Theatre announces the Chicago premiere of the Broadway musical The Scottsboro Boys, February 3 - March 12, featuring music and lyrics by John Kander and Fred Ebb, book by David Thompson, direction by Samuel G. Roberson, Jr, music direction by Doug Peck and choreography by Florence Walker-Harris with Breon Arzell as associate choreographer, at Stage 773, 1225 W. Strawdog Theatre Company is proud to announce the second production in its 2016 - 2017 season, William Shakespeare's CymbelIne, January 13 - February 25, directed by Robert Kauzlaric and performed at The Factory Theater, 1623 W. Howard St. The performance schedule is Thursdays - Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 4 p.m. Opening Night is Monday, January 23 at 8 p.m. 

Due to popular demand, Irish Theatre of Chicago is pleased to announce a second extension of its hit production of Conor McPherson's haunting and humorous Irish classic THE WEIR. ITC will add four additional performances, extending through Sunday, February 4, 2017. THE WEIR, which opened on December 15, 2016, is currently sold-out through Sunday January 29, 2017.

Over the next six years, the RSC aims to produce every single Shakespeare play.
