American Players Theatre (APT) will open two more plays this week. In the Touchstone Theatre, The River Bride, directed by returning APT artist Robert Ramirez, will hold its official opening night on Sunday, June 25, 2022, at 2:00 pm following two previews. In the Hill Theatre, Sense and Sensibility, directed by Marti Lyons, will also open Sunday, June 25, 2022, at 8:00 pm.

5-STAR THEATRICALS (formerly Cabrillo Music Theatre) continues its 2017-2018 season with the Thousand Oaks premiere of THE HUNCHBACK OF NOTRE DAME, with music by Alan Menken, lyrics by Stephen Schwartz, book by Peter Parnell (based on the Victor Hugo Novel and songs from the Disney film), musical direction by Dan Redfeld, choreography by Michelle Elkin and directed by Misti B. Wills. THE HUNCHBACK OF NOTRE DAME opens on Friday, April 20, 2017 and runs through Sunday, April 29, 2018 at the 1,800-seat Kavli Theatre at the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza, 2100 Thousand Oaks Boulevard in Thousand Oaks.  

Victory Gardens Theater continues its 43rd season with the World Premiere of Lettie, written by Boo Killebrew and directed by Artistic Director Chay Yew. Lettie runs April 6 - May 6, 2018, with the press performance on Friday, April 13, 2018 at 7:30pm at Victory Gardens Theater, 2433 N. Lincoln Avenue.

The new play ROMANCE LANGAUGE receives its New York City premiere this fall at Theater 511 at Ars Nova (511 W 54th St, New York). Written by Joe Godfrey (A Queer Carol) and directed by Carl Andress (Charles Busch's The Tribute Artist and The Divine Sister), ROMANCE LANGUAGE stars Mairin Lee (Broadway's The Heiress), Audrey Heffernan Meyer ('Royal Pains'), and Jared Zirilli (Pretty Filthy). ROMANCE LANGUAGE officially opened last night, October 22, 2015, playing a strictly limited engagement through November 8, 2015. BroadwayWorld has photos from the opening festivities below!

Kiev's National Academic Theatre of Russian Drama Lesya Ukrainka brings a festival of events celebrating Ukrainian culture to the St. James Theatre from 8 to 19 September 2015, curated by Mikhail Reznikovich, Artistic Director of the National Academic Theatre of Russian Drama Lesya Ukrainka. The festival, comprising four plays, two free film screenings and a photography exhibition, will give British audiences a rare chance to acquaint themselves with some of Ukraine's cultural masterpieces as well as its developing modern arts scene. Four plays from Kiev's National Academic Theatre of Russian Drama Lesya Ukrainka will run at the St. James Theatre from 8 - 19 September. The cycle of four plays, Ward of the Manor, My Mocking Happiness, Life's Little Nothings and Don Juan, will be performed in Russian and live dubbed in to English by a translator who will be present in the auditorium.  Kokandy Productions is pleased to continue its 2015 season with LOVING REPEATING, a musical tribute to the life and loves of celebrated American author Gertrude Stein. Using Stein's own works as lyrics, LOVING REPEATING is adapted by Frank Galati (The Grapes of Wrath, The Accidental Tourist), with music by Stephen Flaherty (Ragtime, Once on This Island, Seussical) direction by Co-Artistic Director Allison Hendrix, music direction by Resident Music Director Kory Danielson and choreography by Andrea Louise Soule.  LOVING REPEATING will play July 18 - August 30, 2015 at Theater Wit, 1229 W. Belmont Ave. in Chicago. Ronan Keating and Jill Winternitz as Guy and Girl lead the cast in Once The Musical at the Phoenix Theatre until 21 March 2015 when the production will complete its West End run prior to a European tour. Keating joined the internationally award-winning Once in November last year.

Chicago Shakespeare Theater continues the 2014/15 season with William Shakespeare's riveting odyssey Pericles, staged by CST veteran director David H. Bell and featuring Stratford Festival company member Ben Carlson in the title role. The production runs through January 18, 2015. BroadwayWorld has a first look at the cast in action below!
