Written by composer, Paul Leschen with book & lyricist Fred Sauter with direction and choreography of Robert Bartley with musical supervision by Deborah Hurwitz. BedBugs!!! began performances on September 9 and opened on September 14 and was originally set to end it run on October 26, due to popular demand, will now extend its run at the UWS's ArcLight Theatre (152 West 71 Street) through November 2, 2014. The cast of BedBugs!!! performed at Times Square in Ripley's Believe it Or Not this past Saturday, and you can check out photos of the appearance below! (more...)

Presented by Dale Joan Young, BedBugs!!! is the award winning comedy sci-fi thriller rock musical. BEDBugS!!! features the direction and choreography of Robert Bartley with musical supervision by Deborah Hurwitz. She was smart, well-read, appreciated literature and poetry, and was a strong woman - not a good thing for the time!' Actress Kathy Voytko is speaking about the latest role which has brought her from Broadway to Brunswick, Maine, where she will portray Fannie Chamberlain in Maine State Music Theatre's second season production of Sarah Knapp and Steven M. Alper's musical, Chamberlain: A Civil War Romance. Voytko is clearly intrigued by the challenge of portraying this fascinating Civil War character whose life and that of her husband, legendary soldier, governor, and Bowdoin president, Joshua L. Chamberlain, was inextricably bound to this coastal Maine town. (more...)

Academy Award nominee Michael Shannon (Revolutionary Road) plays Berenger in Eugene Ionesco's The Killer in a production that also features Kristine Nielsen, Paul Sparks and Robert Stanton. The Killer is newly translated by Michael Feingold and is directed by Darko Tresnjak (A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder). Last produced Off-Broadway in 1960, The Killer is the final production of Theatre for a New Audience's inaugural season at Polonsky Shakespeare Center, 262 Ashland Place. Previews begin Saturday, May 17, at 7:30pm for an opening Thursday, May 29, and a scheduled run through Sunday, June 29. High school seniors of the University of North Carolina School of the Arts (UNCSA) got the graduation ceremony of their dreams on Saturday, May 18, when Disney Theatrical Group President Thomas Schumacher delivered their commencement address, and the diplomas were presented by 'Mary Poppins' herself: UNCSA alumna Rachel Wallace.
