The National Theatre and the American Associates of the National Theatre hosted an exclusive fundraising gala to celebrate the arrival of the National Theatre's acclaimed production of Angels in America, A Gay Fantasia on National Themes on Broadway on Sunday, March 11.

FOR THE RECORD: DEAR JOHN HUGHES at West Hollywood's DBA showcases the works of acclaimed director John Hughes, by reliving his acclaimed coming of age 1980's teen flicks including Sixteen Candles, The Breakfast Club, Weird Science, Pretty In Pink, Some Kind of Wonderful and Ferris Bueller's Day Off. Performances began on February 6 and run through April 4, 2015. BroadwayWorld has a first look at the cast onstage below!

The colorful Gypsy Robe, embellished with mementos from Broadway musicals, is presented to the cast member who has the most Broadway chorus credits. Recent Gypsy Robe honoree, ROCK OF AGES' star Andre Ward passed the special Broadway garment on to Paul Castree backstage before the opening night performance and BroadwayWorld.com was there to cheer him on!

Following an extremely successful off Broadway run and the sale of the film rights to New Line Cinema, ROCK OF AGES opened on Broadway, on Tuesday, April 7, 2009 at Broadway's Brooks Atkinson Theatre (256 W. 47th Street). The cast of Xanadu gathered on Thursday night, August 2nd at Bond 45 Restaurant to surprise producer Tara Smith on her birthday. BroadwayWorld.com was there! Happy Birthday Tara!
