Good Night, Oscar starring Emmy Award-winning actor Sean Hayes, is running now at  Broadway's Belasco Theatre. It was January 25 2011 and Raissa Katona Bennett brought her new show, exploring the music of Jerome Kern to Feinstein's at The Regency Hotel. It got rave reviews from the critics at that time. Amazingly looking and sounding even better, Raissa returned to the cabaret stage last night at The Laurie Beechman Theatre's West Bank Cafe' and Broadwayworld was there. Check out the photos.

Beverley Knight is to star in Andrew Lloyd Webber's record-breaking musical Cats to play the role of Grizabella.   Returning to the London Palladium from 23 October 2015, Lloyd Webber's record breaking Cats will run for a ten week season until 2 January 2016.  Tickets are from £20 with top price seats at £59.50 and children's tickets at half price for Monday to Thursday performances.

On joining the West End production of Cats, Nicole Scherzinger said: 'I am really thrilled to be making my West End debut in such an iconic show and I couldn't be more excited. To have the opportunity to work with Andrew, Trevor and Gillian is a dream come true. I grew up listening to Andrew's extraordinary music and was lucky enough, a couple of years ago, to record Cats' beautiful song Memory. Andrew's score is breathtaking and I am truly honoured to have been asked to take part in what I know will be a very special time in my career. I can't wait to begin rehearsals.'

SHREK opens in Rio de Janeiro starring Diego Luri, chosen from among hundreds of actors to be in Brazil, the world's most famous ogre. Broadway's cuddliest cast kicked off a new year with the 14th edition of THE BROADWAY BEARS auction yesterday, Sunday, March 6, 2011 at B.B. King Blues Club & Grill, produced by and benefitting Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. Sure to out-do last year's collection, 43 one-of-a-kind, autographed BROADWAY BEARS - each dressed in original, handmade costumes representing some of the theater's most legendary performers and performances - will be put up for auction.

Last night, February 14, Town Hall continued its 'Broadway by the Year' series with the Musicals of 1921, licking off the series 90th anniversary season. Written, created and hosted by Scott Siegel, the cast featured Erin Davie (A Little Night Music), Stephen Mo Hanan (Cats) Kevin Earley (Thoroughly Modern Millie), Liz Lark-Brown (2011 Nightlife Award Winner), Tony Award nominees Bobby Steggert (Ragtime), Kate Baldwin (Finian's Rainbow), Jeffry Denman (Drama Desk Nominee, Yank!), Erin Denman (42nd Street), and KendRick Jones (The Scottsboro Boys). Also featured were the 10 'Siegfeld' Follies Girls that will help recreate the look and style of a Broadway that existed 90 years ago, the year when Town Hall, itself, was built. The longest-running show in Broadway history, the Cameron Mackintosh/Really Useful Group, Inc. production of Andrew Lloyd Webber's THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA, directed by Harold Prince, reaches an unprecedented milestone today, Wednesday, January 26, 2011, when it celebrated its Twenty-Third Anniversary on Broadway. Playing its 9,566th & 9,567th performances at The Majestic Theatre (247 West 44th Street), it becomes the first Broadway production ever to have run 23 years.

On Sat, Jan 15, 2011, Chris Isaacson presented Upright Cabaret's second American Icon Series concert entitled 'Mighty Mississippi' at Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza's Scherr Forum Theatre starring American Idol star Frenchie Davis (Rent), Von Smith (American Idol) and Rockstar INXS' Ty Taylor (Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Cats, Grease).

The Way Off Broadway Children's Theatre first opened in 1996 and since then has become a popular entertainment destination for families looking for a fun weekend activity, it has also become a great spot for birthday parties and school trips. Each show that has appeared on the stage has been an original musical adaptation of a popular children's story or fairytale written specifically for Way Off Broadway. With the first show of the 2011 Season, things will be changing in The Children's Theatre. For the first time, a Disney production will come to life on the Way Off Broadway stage when Disney's 101 Dalmatians Kids opens on January 29th kicking off the new season.

Performing as part of THE TOWN HALL's Sixth Annual Broadway Cabaret Festival was Betty Buckley on Saturday, October 16th at 8:00 PM. Buckley is one of only a handful of women who can be referred to as a real Broadway star and a true legend. Tony Award winner and three-time Grammy nominee, she has acted in films, starred on television, and on Broadway. Buckley made her Broadway debut in 1969 and has been called 'The Voice of Broadway' by New York Magazine. Her rendition of 'Memory' in Andrew Lloyd Webber's Cats, established her reputation. She has recorded 12 solo albums and now tours extensively across the U.S. each year. She is also a composer; her first recording contains mostly songs she wrote.

Theatre icon Elaine Paige, the 'Queen of West End Musicals' who has created the roles of Eva Peron in 'Evita,' Grizabella in 'Cats,' Florence in 'Chess' and Edith Piaf in 'Piaf' and had a triumphant debut on Broadway in 1996 as Norma Desmond in 'Sunset Boulevard,' signed copies of her autobiography, 'Memories,' on Wednesday, September 22, at the Barnes & Noble Lincoln Triangle store.
