Broadway fans had plenty of reasons to celebrate this year, with dozens of shows having opened since January, hundreds of actors having made their debuts, and many more having returned to the stage for critically acclaimed performances. Barrington Stage Company, under the leadership of Artistic Director Julianne Boyd and Producing Director Richard M. Parison, Jr., presents Tennessee Williams' masterwork, A Streetcar Named Desire, as part of the theater's 15th Anniversary Season. Directed by Julianne Boyd, Streetcar stars three-time Tony Award nominee Marin Mazzie as Blanche DuBois and Christopher Innvar as Stanley Kowalski, and will play on the Mainstage through August 29th, 2009, with a Press Opening which took place Sunday, August 9 at 5pm.
Broadway's Boy George Euan Morton hosted the 2008 Theatre Museum Awards for Excellence on Tuesday October 21, 2009 at New York City's famed Players Club in Manhattan. Chairman of the Board of Trustees Stewart F. Lane and President Helen Marie Guditis opened the evening with a welcome to the honorees, presenters and guests at this fifth anniversary of The Theatre Museum.
