In a season where witches and spells make an annual appearance, SCERA Center for the Arts is adding a little magic of its own with 'The Magical Adventures of Merlin,' a Theatre for Young Audiences production that begins Oct. 14 and continues through Nov. 1. Medicine Show Theatre Ensemble, one of New York's longest-running experimental theatres, will stage Henry Fielding's 1730 classic Tom Thumb, officially known as The Tragedy of Tragedies; or the Life and Death of Tom Thumb the Great. Winner of the 2012 Off Broadway Alliance Award for Best Musical, SILENCE! The Musical the unauthorized parody of The Silence of the Lambs, with book by Hunter Bell, music & lyrics by Jon and Al Kaplan, and direction & choreography by Christopher Gattelli, opened a Los Angeles company with performances beginning August 31, at the Hayworth Theatre.
