Manhattan Theatre Club's Broadway premiere of VENUS IN FUR, the acclaimed new play by David Ives, directed by Tony Award winner Walter Bobbie starts rehearsals today. The production stars Tony nominee Nina Arianda reprising her acclaimed breakthrough performance and Emmy Award nominee Hugh Dancy (Journey's End, 'The Big C'). VENUS IN FUR will begin previews on Thursday, October 13 and open Tuesday, November 8 at MTC's Samuel J. Friedman Theatre (261 West 47th Street). The production will play a limited 10 week engagement with tickets on sale through Sunday, December 18 only.

Halsted St. NEXT UP is presented in collaboration with Northwestern University's MFA programs in Direction and Design, and will feature the work of graduates of those programs with casts of professional Chicago actors.

Born Yesterday, starring Jim Belushi, Robert Sean Leonard and Nina Arianda, opens April 24 at Broadway's Cort Theatre (138 West 48th Street) at 8 pm. Directed by Doug Hughes, the show is a revival of Garson Kanin's award-winning comedy about sex and politics.
The OBIE-winning HERE is thrilled to announce its annual CULTUREMART festival line-up. Running January 7 - 23, CULTUREMART makes process the focus, as the festival presents work in development from the exciting roster of the HERE Artist Residency Program HARP. Chicago Dramatists, 1105 W. Chicago Avenue, is proud present the world premiere of Jade Heart, the spellbinding new play by Senior Network Playwright Will Cooper. The production runs through May 30, will be directed by Chicago Dramatists' Artistic Director Russ Tutterow.
