The Met celebrates the new year with a new production of Bizet's Carmen by acclaimed English director Carrie Cracknell, opening on Sunday, December 31, at 6:30PM. In her highly anticipated Met debut, Cracknell reinvigorates the classic story of deadly passion with a staging that moves the action to modern day and explores themes that could not be more relevant today: gendered violence, abusive labor structures, and the desire to break through societal boundaries.

All the Way, the new play by Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Robert Schenkkan, starring BREAKING BAD's Bryan Cranston, is currently in previews on Broadway at the Neil Simon Theatre. The production officially opens on Thursday, March 6, 2014 for a strictly limited engagement. The play is directed by Bill Rauch, Artistic Director of the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, where All the Way began its theatrical life. Atlantic Theater Company's ATC Uncovered is celebrating the 7th anniversary of SPRING AWAKENING on Broadway. The cast of EVITA, including Ricky Martin, Michael Cerveris and Elena Roger performed 'Buenos Aires' and 'High Flying Adored' on this morning's 'Good Morning America'. Directed by Tony and Olivier Award-winner Michael Grandage and choreographed by Tony Award-winner Rob Ashford, EVITA opened April 5, 2012 at The Marquis Theatre.

As previously reported, previews will begin in March of 2012 in anticipation of an April 2012 opening and rehearsals begin in February of next year for the highly anticipated revival of EVITA, starring Ricky Martin and Elena Roger.
