WICKED National Tour Announces $25 Lottery Policy for Majestic Theatre Run, 3/12-30

A day-of-performance lottery for a limited number of orchestra seats will be held for WICKED, which is returning to the Majestic Theatre for 24 performances, March 12-30. Two and one-half hours prior to each performance, people who present themselves at the Majestic Theatre box office will have their names placed in a lottery drum; thirty minutes later, names will be drawn for a limited number of orchestra seats at $25 each, cash only. This lottery is available only in-person at the box office, with a limit of two tickets per person. Lottery participants must have a valid photo ID when submitting their entry form and, if chosen, when purchasing tickets. (more...)

UT Theatre of the Falcon Stages to Present AQUARIUS RISING, 4/10-18

Award-winning playwright Garry Michael Kluger's latest play, Aquarius Rising will have its world premiere at the UT Theatre of the Falcon Stages in April 2014. Kluger is also directing this limited engagement of his latest comedy. Kluger's other works include In A Yellow Wood, A Thorn In The Family Paw, and the award-winning plays Brotherhood and The Homecoming. The show will run April 10-18. Experience the movement when The Smiley Face and the Frown Entertainment Co. performs The Vagina Monologues at the newly opened, Cupcake Theater in Hollywood, CA. After a sold out performance on February 16th, The Vagina Monologues has been extended for nine more performances! This production is a part of a global activist movement attempting to end violence toward women and girls. Written by Tony-award winning writer, Eve Ensler, The Vagina Monologues has become a celebration to raise awareness for women's protection all over the world! Proceeds will be donated to Peace Over Violence, a non-profit organization that lends support and prevention of violence toward women and children. (more...)

Award-winning playwright Garry Michael Kluger's latest play, Aquarius Rising will have its world premiere at the UT Theatre of the Falcon Stages in April 2014. Kluger is also directing this limited engagement of his latest comedy. Kluger's other works include In A Yellow Wood, A Thorn In The Family Paw, and the award-winning plays Brotherhood and The Homecoming. The show will run today, April 10-18. THE VAGINA MONOLOGUES to Make Off-Broadway Return in Spanish, Begin. May 6

Eve Ensler's groundbreaking show, The Vagina Monologues, will return in a new form when the first New York City revival opens for a Spanish language engagement at its original off-Broadway home. Los Monologos de la Vagina will begin performances at the Westside Theatre (407 West 43rd Street) on May 6 . Opening night will be announced. Mexican director Jaime Matarredona helms the production. It is produced by Morris Gilbert and Federico Gonzalez Compean. This will mark the first time that a mainstream off-Broadway theatre has hosted a commercial Spanish language play for an ongoing run.
