Boise Contemporary Theater to Open 20th Season with A SKULL IN CONNEMARA

Boise Contemporary Theater today announced the full casting for the opening play of its 20th Season, Martin McDonagh's A SKULL IN CONNEMARA. Set in the Irish village of Leenane, the play follows Mick Dowd (Arthur Glen Hughes), a gravedigger who, every autumn, disinters bones from his local cemetery to make room for new arrivals. When Mick has to dig up the grave of his dead wife, Oona, the locals begin to wonder, once again, what role Mick played in her sudden death seven years ago. (more...)

Full casting has today been announced for the West End run of the Royal Court Theatre's production of Hangmen. ProducersRobert Fox, Matthew Byam Shaw for Playful Productions and Royal Court Theatre Productions are delighted to announce that Andy Nyman will play Syd, Craig Parkinson will take on the role of Inspector Fry and Tony Hirst will play Bill, completing the cast of the West End production. Palm Beach Dramaworks Presents THE CRIPPLE OF INISHMAAN by Martin McDonagh

Dreams are in short supply on the desolate island of Inishmaan, particularly for the sensitive, physically challenged Billy Claven in Martin McDonagh's The Cripple of Inishmaan. So when word arrives that an American filmmaker is coming to the neighboring island of Inishmore to make a motion picture, Billy goes after a part in the movie, hoping for a trip to Hollywood and escape from the cruelty and bleakness that engulf him. McDonagh's darkly comic work opens at Palm Beach Dramaworks on May19 and continues through June 4, with specially priced previews on May 17 and 18.   (more...)

The Keegan Theatre closes out its record-breaking 19th season with Martin McDonagh's brutally funny dark comedy, The Lonesome West. Set in the tiny Irish backwater of Leenane, warring brothers Valene and Coleman live to torment each other, baiting and brawling over every petty grievance, from would-be girlfriends to cheap potato chips. Cabot directs a cast including Jonathan Ashley (Goldberg), Gareth Bennett-Ryan (Stanley), Cheryl Kennedy (Meg), Ged McKenna (Petey), Declan Rodgers (McCann) and Imogen Wilde (Lulu).
