War, Muslim Relations, Xenophobia and the struggles of disenfranchised youth are among the contemporary themes highlighted in Les Enfants de Paris, a world premiere musical premiering October 3rd as part of the New York Musical Theatre Festival. Donna Drake directs a cast of seven including, Adam Halpin (Glory Days), Nadine Malouf , Sevan Greene (Aftermath, Betrayed), Megan Reinking (Million Dollar Quartet, Hair, Boardwalk Empire), Jed Resnick (Avenue Q), Dan Kohler (Blue Man Group), and Blake Segal. Seven performances will be held at the TBG Theatre, 312 West 36th Street, 3rd Floor, NYC 10018 beginning October 3, 2011. (more...)

Cortland Repertory Theatre invites audiences to step back in time to the 1940's during their fourth show this summer with the charming musical comedy 'The 1940's Radio Hour'. Performances of this tuner will run from today, July 31st - August 10th with evening performances at 7:30. Matinees are available on August 2nd, 6th, and 7th at 2:00 PM. Tickets may be purchased by calling 800-427-6160 or at the CRT Box Office at 24 Port Watson Street in Cortland. Tickets are also available for sale 24 hours a day through the CRT website at www.cortlandrep.org. The 2011-12 Season will mark Theatre in the Square's 30th anniversary season. The season will open with On Golden Pond (August 10 - September 11, 2011), which was the first production the theatre produced in September 1982. The additional four Main Stage productions include Ghost-Writer (September 28 - October 20, 2011); The Ladies Man (January 18 - February 26, 2012), based on the classic farce by Georges Feydeau, Tailleur Pour Dames; Flyin' West (March 7 - April 8, 2012),by Atlanta's own Pearl Cleage; and a fifth show to be announced, which will run April 25 - May 27, 2012. The Arvada Center for the Arts and Humanities kicks off its 2011-12 theater season on September 13, 2011, with the Tony Award winning musical Ragtime. The production - a regional premiere of the play's 2008 revival - opens a seven-play theater subscription season that reinforces Arvada Center Theater's standing as one of the area's leading theatrical producers as well as its emerging reputation as a catalyst for collaboration with regional theaters. 'Ragtime allows our audiences to experience what we do best from the very start of the season,' states Arvada Center Artistic Producer Rod Lansberry.
