A Grand favorite! Ranked by Comedy Central as one of the top 100 standup performers of all time, unpredictable comedian Sinbad is celebrated for his humorous take on life's painful trials and embarrassing tribulations. Sinbad's lively storytelling is noted for its take-no-prisoners approach, as the long-time actor and seasoned performer will often work the audience's own awkward experiences into his punchlines. The act has served him well, with dozens of film and television roles to his credit, including a cameo appearance on the hit FX series It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia and a new reality series on WEtv.

Despite his explosive performances, Sinbad believes humor can be effective without becoming profane. The 6'5"comedian was convinced that ďfunny is funnyĒ after his father, a preacher and humorous man in his own right, visited one of his son's early performances. Realizing that his own influences could deliver clean comedy and still leave audiences in laughter, Sinbad charted a career as an unpredictable but family-friendly force stalking the stage for the next great joke. Sinbadís unique style Ė often described as large, physical, impetuous, and manic Ė has earned him a devoted following and international stardom.

Class Act Books Announces February Romance Novels
by BWW News Desk - Feb 17, 2017

This month, Class Act Books is releasing another entry in the Space Opera Romance series Adventures of Sinbad by veteran author Toni V. Sweeney and a standalone World War 2 romance by Bob Young. Sinbad's Pride is Book #4 in the series and is lighter in tone than the preceding novels. Determined to return his planet to its pre-war glory, Sinbad sh'en Singh finds a loophole in the treaty with Terra, and uses it to open a smuggling base on Felida. When two pride leaders wish an affiliation with his operation and offer their daughters as concubines, Sin finds himself with a very angry wife and has to do a great deal of verbal maneuvering to keep his marriage and his plans from falling apart. With his usual supreme confidence, the half-feline is certain he can handle it, however. Author Toni V. Sweeney recently celebrated her 74th birthday and is now publishing her 74th novel. She's been a Class Act author since 2010. Julia's Bombardier by Bob Young chronicles the story of a young British girl during World War 2. Having lost the man she loved in the war, the last thing young Julia wants is to fall for an American flyer stationed near her village, especially one who's a bombardier. Love, however, doesn't seem to listen to reason in cases like this. Bob Howard is also a veteran Class act Books author. He specializes in historical fiction, circa 1942-1954. Class Act Books is a small press publisher, offering novels and novellas in all genres. This year, the company will be celebrating its fourth year under new ownership. (more...)

Class Act Books Announces Debut Author Paul McDermott
by BWW News Desk - Apr 20, 2017

Class Act Books' April releases include a novel by a debut author and the sixth entry in a current SciFiction series. This month's new author is Paul McDermott, writing from across the Pond, where his part of the United Kingdom was well immersed in intrigue during World War 2. Paul's novel, 'The Spear of Destiny,' is set during the last days of WWII. Delving into Hitler's obsession with the supernatural, the scene is presented through the eyes of √úberlojtnant Herbert Nollau, commander of U-boat U-453. With the war lost and surrender imminent, Nollau must decide whether to follow his orders - and deliver a mysterious package to an equally mysterious and unknown recipient - or listen to his conscience, and abandon the plan and follow the supernatural urgings of the secret artifact. Paul lives in Liverpool where a great deal of history happened during the war. He was inspired to write The Spear of Destiny after the U-435 was refloated from the waters off Denmark where it had been sunk during the war, and has now been placed as a permanent exhibit in Liverpool's Maritime Museum. Interviews with people who were members of the Danish Resistance ('M√łdstandsbev√¶gelsen') and research in non-fiction accounts of major action in the North Atlantic give his novel an authentic tone. Sinbad's War is Book 6 of the popular scifi/space opera authored by veteran author Toni V. Sweeney. It was previously published and is now being re-released in an edited and expanded version by Class Act Books. The Federation is again at war, having survived a surprise attack by the Severani, a barely-noticed planet sudden blooming with militaristic might. When his own planet is invaded and those he love perish in the following bombardment, Sinbad and his sons enlist in the fight, bringing with it startling acts of heroism and surprising discoveries affecting their lives when they return home. Toni V. Sweeney currently has 53 novels in publication. As well as being a writer, she is a professional reader certified by netgalley.com, and a reviewer for the New York Journal of Books. Her current series, The Adventures of Sinbad, was previously awarded one of the Top Five Science Fiction series of 2014 by the Paranormal Romance Guild's Critics' Choice. Class Act Books came under new ownership in 2013. Since that time, it strives to provide the best in literary entertainment in all genres to its readers.
