Beachwood High School to Celebrate Opening of Auditorium with Concert by The Cleveland Orchestra

An eighteen-year partnership between the two organizations, the project introduces theatre arts to homeless men recovering substance abuse and mental health challenges. As they work with CPT artists to create an original performance based on their personal experiences, participants develop skills and capacities that support their sobriety and transition to employment, permanent housing and independent living. Carnegie Hall Names 2016 National Youth Orchestra of the USA Musicians

Carnegie Hall today announced the names of the 109 outstanding young musicians selected from across the country for the fourth annual National Youth Orchestra of the United States of America (NYO-USA). The members of the 2016 orchestra-ages 16-19, hailing from 32 US states-have been recognized by Carnegie Hall as being among the finest players in the country following a comprehensive and highly competitive audition process. Road to Hope at Christ Episcopal Church is the third of a series of performing arts events to be presented by CPT and community partners in multiple neighborhoods across the Cleveland area between January and June 2016. Visitors will enjoy a full program of theatre, dance, music, spoken word and collaborative art installations created by Northeast Ohio artists, inspired by Cleveland's role in the Underground Railroad and modern day struggles for freedom and justice. The ensemble will bring their new program Conversations galantes to NYC for the first time, with performances at King Manor Museum (Jamaica, Queens) on March 14th (Manhattan) on March 15th.The program features French Rococo works by 18th century composers including Philidor, Guillemain, Rameau and others. 5BMF's season concludes in May with a presentation of the groundbreaking vocal ensemble ROOMFUL OF TEETH. Fresh off their 2014 Grammy win for Best Chamber Music/Small Ensemble Performance, this genre-bending group will join us for a program of vocal works which showcase the ensemble's wide vocabulary of singing techniques.
