The Saint Louis Art Museum today announced the promised gift of 22 works of art from Emily Rauh Pulitzer, continuing a legacy of patronage by the Pulitzer family that dates back more than 90 years.
The Artistic Home Ensemble will present the Chicago premiere of Lauren Gunderson's ADA AND THE ENGINE as the final entry in its three-play 2018-19 season, according to company Artistic Director Kathy Scambiatterra, who announced the season today. The 36-year-old Gunderson was the most-produced playwright in America during 2017, according to American Theatre Magazine.
For its ninth production of its 2016 season, Little Fish Theatre is proud to announce the opening of What the Night is For, directed by Branda Lock and written by Michael Weller. An Academy Award nominee for his adapted screenplay of Ragtime, Weller is the author of more than 40 produced plays, is a professor at The New School in New York, and was a writer-producer on TV's acclaimed series "Once and Again." What the Night is For captures the emotions of a ten-year reunion after a passionate affair.
In advance of her fifth CD Lumiere being released in September, next month, stunning songstress and classical crossover artist Sasha Lazard will offer two special NYC concert performances tonight, June 12 at 8pm at Top of the Standard at The Standard Hotel (848 Washington Street) and today, June 19 at 8pm at night club The Cutting Room (44 E. 32 St). She will be debuting several of her new songs at the June concerts and Sasha will also begin a monthly engagement at The Standard in September, The Sunset Series.
