Ruskin Group Theatre Presents ALL MY SONS, Opens 8/14

Ruskin Group Theatre presents ALL MY SONS, the multi-award winning classic by Arthur Miller.

A stunning moral conflict resurfaces in the Tony Award winning play, where crimes from the past threaten the future of two seemingly typical families. This gripping American classic reveals the lethal consequences of deceit and greed. As relevant today as the year it was written.

Director EDWARD EDWARDS helmed the critically acclaimed production of The Collector earlier this year at Ruskin Group Theatre. Broadway theatre credits include the Mike Nichols production of Streamers and the title role in The Nerd. He has worked on nine feature films and numerous television series. Los Angeles theatre credits include Another Part of the Forest at The Ahmanson, Porgy and Bess at LA Opera and The Hasty Heart for which he won the LA Critics Award for Best Supporting Actor.

MIKEY MYERS (Producer) has produced more than 50 projects since 2002. He recently directed the critically acclaimed Faithful at RGT. Other directing credits include The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged), That May Well Be True, Mitigating Factors, Picasso at Lapin Agile, LA Café Plays, Sgnarelle-The Imaginary Cuckold, Family Virtue, and Beyond Therapy. Mike is a co-creator of the Ruskin's critically acclaimed CAFÉ PLAYS, a monthly offering of one-acts that are done in 10 ½ hours from conception to staging. In 2008 the City of Santa Monica appointed him to serve on the Arts Commission.

RUSKIN GROUP THEATRE has been making an impact on the Los Angeles theatrical scene with an eclectic mix of thought provoking plays and programs. Their ‘Fostering Imagination' program sponsors foster kids in theatre & film classes that produce several original shows each year. The CAFÉ PLAYS, created by RGT are produced monthly and are the culmination of writers, actors, and directors who meet at 9am, where they are given a theme. They then write, produce, and perform a show by 7pm the same day. Recently celebrating their 6th anniversary, RGT supporters Ed Asner, Dylan McDermott, Chris Mulkey, Olivia d'Abo, and other industry celebrities joined to produce the Best of Café Plays (both shows sold out within hours). Anthony Hopkins and Anthony Franciosa were some of the Ruskin School of Theatre's first teachers.

ALL MY SONS opens Saturday, August 14th and runs through October 2, 2010. Performances are Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm and Sundays at 2pm. JOHN RUSKIN (Artistic Director) helmed the critically acclaimed production of Unbeatable Harold and Strange Snow, which extended its run to accommodate demand from local audiences. John's years of experience include his studies at the Yale School of Drama, British American Drama Academy in Oxford, England, and the University of Colorado in Boulder. In New York, Ruskin joined the acting faculty of the Neighborhood Playhouse at the request of Sanford Meisner (who he apprenticed with) before moving to Los Angeles where he founded his own school of acting and a professional theatre company. The company's mission is to expose the community to the enlightening experience that theater can be while providing outreach programs to people in need with our "Healing Through the Arts" program.

OUR ENSEMBLE

SHAE KENNEDY (Sue) has performed at the prestigious Williamstown Theatre Festival appearing in such shows as Eurydice, Bloody Mary and Once In A Lifetime, directed by Michael Greif. She appeared in the festival's 50th Anniversary Mainstage celebration, As Dreams Are Made On. Shae received a best-supporting actress nomination from the NY Independent Film Festival for her work portraying twins in the feature film Cupidity and she also appeared in the multi-award-winning short film, Spidermen. Shae is the recipient of WTF's Rita Feldman Award. TV credits include Lewis Black's Root of All Evil, Chappelle's Show.

DOMINIC COMPERATORE (Chris) most recently appeared at the Ruskin Group as "Pale" in the critically acclaimed production of Burn This. He appeared on Broadway in the Tony Award-winning revival of Arthur Miller's A View from the Bridge, in Sir Peter Hall's Romeo and Juliet at the Ahmanson and on many stages in between. Dominic shed 25lbs to play a Holocaust survivor in Steven Soderbergh's film The Good German, and has played the lead in numerous independent films, including Everything for a Reason (Best Actor nomination, Houston Int'l FF), Room 32 (Best Actor nomination, Method Fest), and Heads and Tails (Audience Award runner-up, HBO Comedy Arts Festival). TV credits include 24, Chuck, Alias, Boston Legal, The Shield, Entourage, ER and CSI Miami. Upcoming indie films include Signal, Thy Will Be Done, and Never, Never Talk to Strangers.

PAUL LINKE (Joe Keller) has worked as a professional actor for almost forty years. Selected film credits include Parenthood, and K-PAX. Numerous TV credits include the role of Artie Grossman on the NBC-TV series CHiPs for the run of the show. An MFA graduate of the University of Southern California, Mr. Linke co-founded the Garden Theatre Festival (LADCC Award) and was a member of the Company Theatre. He was the founder of the Powerhouse Theatre in Santa Monica where he created his celebrated Time Flies When You're Alive, which was later filmed as an HBO Showcase special and nominated for a Cable Ace Award. Mr. Linke continued his autobiographical solo work with Life After Time, which premiered at the Pasadena Playhouse. Charles Nelson Reilly directed the third installment of Mr. Linke's "Time Trilogy" Father Time, at Pacific Resident Theatre.

AUSTIN HIGHSMITH (Annie) has recently guest starred on Criminal Minds, Grey's
Anatomy, Big Love and Paramount Picture's web serial Circle of 8. She can be seen in the films Loving Annabelle, Fractalus and Breathing Room. Austin's stage credits include Picasso at the Lapin Agile, Unbeatable Harold, Playhouse Creatures, The Shape of Things, Dark of the Moon and several original pieces created for various theatres in Los Angeles.

KATIE PARKER (Lydia) appears on The Young and the Restless and just wrapped her first feature film, Absentia. Last year she made her West Coast theatre debut in Sex, Relationships and Sometimes...Love. Other stage credits include, Proof (Claire), Angeles in America (Harper), The Tempest (Sebastian) and What the Butler Saw (Geraldine).

MAURY STERLING (George) was seen in the world premiere of Mutiny at Port Chicago, and The Unbeatable Harold at the Ruskin. Numerous stage credits include, Crazy Drunk, Modigliani, Out at Sea, Incident at Vichy, Meat (Buffalo Nights Theater Co), Judgment at Nuremberg (ICT), Fedunn (Odyssey), and Measure for Measure (A Noise Within). Film and TV credits include, A-Team, Smokin Aces Blowback (with Tom Berenger), Smokin Aces (with Ryan Reynolds and Ray Liotta), Beverly Hills Chihuahua, The Frolic, Frankie and Johnnie are Married (with Hector Elizondo), Hart's War, CSI (Miami, NY, Vegas), Cold Case, 24, Criminal Minds, and many others.

JONATHAN LEVIT (Jim) is an, actor, television host, producer, and magician. His most recent television appearance is a recurring role as Martin Dewey in Flash Forward (ABC). In addition to his acting roles, Jonathan has hosted shows for VH1, The Discovery Channel, The Science Channel, The Biography Channel and The Fine Living Network. In addition to working in front of the camera, Jonathan is currently producing several projects for film and television, including a new series for kids entitled Career Day - exposing kids to cool careers, intended to open their minds to exciting worlds they may not normally see, and dedicated to the importance of a good education.

CATHERINE TELFORD (Kate Keller) is a founding member of Pacific Resident Theater, one of three successful collaborative efforts at creating theatre companies (which include Seattle's Showcase Theatre and West Virginia's Monongalia Arts Center). PRT productions that she has performed in are Children, The Importance of Being Earnest, The Hot L Baltimore, South Central Rain, Voices in the Woods, Table Manners, Thanksgiving, The Three Sisters and There's One in Every Marriage.
Catherine has been seen numerous times in roles of as Shakepeare's leading ladies including Beatrice, Olivia, Regan, Emilia, Queen Elizabeth, Calphurnia, and Rosalind, with companies such as Berkeley Shakespeare Festival, San Francisco Shakespeare Company, and The Western Stage. In the Los Angeles area she has performed at the Fremont Theatre in Holiday Memories and the Zephyr Theatre in Horton Foote's Laura Dennis.

CHUCK BRADLEY (Frank) has been seen on New York stages as Bill in Broken Hands at Theatre Row, John Harper in The Night of the Hunter at The Vineyard Theatre, and in Eric Bogosian's Humpty Dumpty at The Red Room. At the Ruskin he has appeared in Burn This and was the understudy for the role of Lt. Veltman in the world premiere of Mutiny at Port Chicago. TV/Film credits include Wirey Spindel, and Law and Order.

JAIMI PAIGE (Annie) recently appeared in RGT's production of Jesse Boy, and The Collector. Other Theatre credits include: Ghosts at A Noise Within, Green Eyes and Adam and Eve on a Ferry at the Tennessee Williams Theatre Festival (Provincetown), Proposals at Old Log Theatre, A Midsummer Night's Dream, Tale of Two Cities, Romeo and Juliet, Enchanted April and The Voilet Hour at Park Square Theatre, A Devil Inside, The Crucible, and Independence at Gremlin Theatre, Hamlet and Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead at Theatre Pro Rata.
