Husky Releases New Single 'I'm Not Coming Back'

Fans of Melbourne Australian band Husky can rejoice in the news of a brand new single “I'm Not Coming Back” due out via Melbourne label Liberation Music, home to The Temper Trap, Vance Joy and Hunters & Collectors. The band – Husky Gawenda, Gideon Preiss and Evan Tweedie – will follow the single release with an Australian tour that has Arron Light joining them on drums and has the band returning to intimate venues across the country. “I'm Not Coming Back” is Husky's first new song to be released since their debut album Forever So came out in 2012 on Sub Pop Records in the US. The Baltimore Symphony Orchestra today announced that stage and screen star Mandy Patinkin just withdrew from an upcoming appearance on January 22, 2015 due to a scheduling conflict with an upcoming Broadway production. Patinkin has been replaced by Jason Alexander in the program, which will be held at Joseph Meyerhoff Symphony Hall. Which show Patinkin will return to Broadway in has yet to be announced. (more...)

US & Wattpad to Debut DIG Prequel

In a first of its kind collaboration, USA Network and Wattpad, the world's largest social community of readers and writers, announced a partnership to release the prequel to the much-anticipated event series DIG. Premiering this fall, DIG is created and executive produced by Tim Kring ('Heroes') and Gideon Raff ('Homeland') and stars Jason Isaacs ('Harry Potter') and Anne Heche ('Hung'). This marks the first television network partnership for Wattpad, which will provide users with exclusive content from the upcoming series well in advance of its debut this fall. (more...)

There has barely been a bad word said about this show since it debuted on Broadway in 2012 (racking up seven Tony nominations), but because I didn't know much about it, I took a while to settle into the comedic rhythm of Georgia Shakespeare's production of ONE MAN, TWO GUVNORS. However, once I realized that the show was far more farcical than I at first realized, it became one of the most laugh-out-loud, joyous nights of theatre I have had in years. So, if you go and see this show (which you absolutely should) simply give into the goofiness; you will thank me when you do. (more...)
