Over the years, the band has continued to perform, always on their own terms, but after a stint at Primavera in 2022, they caught the proverbial songwriting bug once more, sharing demos, jamming in Harrington's attic, and recording through the heap of DIY and esoteric gear Harrington collected over the last decade.

Broadway legend Audra McDonald returns to LA Opera backed by the LA Opera Orchestra and her four-piece ensemble (led by musical director Andy Einhorn) December 2, 2023. Be prepared to experience the stunning vocals of six-time Tony winner singing her expansive Broadway and opera repertoire filling the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion. The busy mom found some time between her touring engagements to chat with me on the phone.

The title would not only mark their final release under MCA Records but also their last studio album for 20 years. Featuring the Top 10 hit “Hey Nineteen,” plus such classic cuts as “Babylon Sisters” and “Time Out of Mind,” Gaucho also boasts a who's who of legendary guest musicians, including Mark Knopfler, Michael McDonald and Bernard Purdie.

Music Director Carl St.Clair and President John Forsyte today announced the Hal and Jeanette Segerstrom Family Foundation Classical Series, inaugurating St.Clair's fourth decade as music director. Comprised of 44 concerts, the 2020-21 classical season reflects the orchestra's diverse repertoirea?"from core symphonic works, new commissions, full-length opera and cross-disciplinary collaborations.

The New Group announces full casting for Bob & Carol & Ted & Alice, with Jennifer Damiano, Ana Nogueira, Joél Pérez and Michael Zegen joining, as previously announced, Duncan Sheik, in this world premiere production. Arriving as part of The New Group's 25th Anniversary Season, this production features Book by Jonathan Marc Sherman, Music and Lyrics by Duncan Sheik, Additional Lyrics by Amanda Green and Choreography by Kelly Devine. Scott Elliott directs. Previews begin January 16 in advance of an Official Opening Night on Tuesday, February 4.

Artistic Director Brigid Larmour today announces programming to complete Watford Palace Theatre's season for September 2019 - June 2020, following the world première of Mushy: Lyrically Speaking earlier this month. The co-production with Rifco Theatre Company is now on tour across the UK until 5 October.

One Yellow Rabbit's Artistic Director Blake Brooker and Festival Producer Laurel Green has announced the line-up for the 33rd annual High Performance Rodeo, Calgary's International Festival of the Arts. The wildly popular festival runs January 9 to 27, 2019 at venues throughout Calgary.

Alt-classical group Portland Cello Project brings a huge, orchestral ensemble (including brass, percussion, and guest vocals by Patti King of the Portland band The Shins) to the Capitol Center for the Arts (Concord, NH) today, October 26, 2018 at 8PM to perform a night in homage to Radiohead. Expect an evening of unique renditions of classical Radiohead pieces that wander from truly epic to breathtakingly intimate. The show is sponsored in part by 102.3 The River.

Two powerful New York institutions, Long Island University (LIU) Brooklyn and the renowned theater company The New Group, have announced a new partnership to help train the next generation of great actors. A new B.F.A program in Acting for Theatre, Film and Television, starting in Fall 2018, will be founded on the studio model, where students will study stage acting, voice, and movement under the supervision and guidance of faculty in collaboration with the award-winning The New Group.

The Geffen Playhouse today announced that Downton Abbey star Allen Leech will make his U.S. stage debut opposite Ginnifer Goodwin (Once Upon a Time, Big Love) in the Los Angeles Premiere of Constellations, Nick Payne's 2015 Broadway sensation. The Geffen's production is directed by Giovanna Sardelli (Guards at the Taj) and marks Goodwin's Los Angeles stage debut.

As Hello, Dolly! returns to Broadway, The Wilder Family and Samuel French present        a conversation on staging Thornton Wilder's works with directors Abigail Adams (Peoples Light), Theater For A New Audience's Arin Arbus, the Geva Theater's Mark Cuddy, and Columbia University's         Gregory Mosher.

The Cleveland Orchestra and Music Director Franz Welser-Most have announced details of the Orchestra's 2017-18 calendar.  The season will be the ensemble's 100th year of concerts and marks the launch of its Second Century.  2017-18 is also the 16th year of the Orchestra's acclaimed partnership with Franz Welser-Most.
