BWW Review: BWW Suggests You Avoid This DANGEROUS CORNER
by Larry O'Brien - Oct 2, 2015

J.B Priestley's DANGERUOUS CORNER is the season opener at 2nd Story Theater in Warren, and I have to say I was disappointed. Theater requires a 'willing suspension of disbelief,' to steal a phrase from William Taylor Coleridge, and this production did not facilitate that end. Trevor Elliot's set was fine, some truly beautiful art deco chairs stage left, very cool wall decorations, and a baby grand stage right. Ron Cesario's costumes-black tie for the men, elegant gowns for the women, also looked good on the actors.

BWW Reviews: DANGEROUS CORNER, Birmingham Rep Theatre, November 3 2014
by Jenny Antill - Nov 4, 2014

J.B. Priestley's most iconic play is notably An Inspector Calls. However, before this, there was Dangerous Corner, which premiered in 1932 and is currently touring the UK. The play centres on a dinner party being thrown by Freda and Robert Caplan. Along with Caplan's business partners and other guests, one remark regarding Robert's recently deceased brother causes anarchy between them. The play ends as it begins but minus the disclosure of this remark and showing how differently the evening could have panned out.

BWW Reviews: Crown City Theatre Rounds a DANGEROUS CORNER
by Don Grigware - Oct 2, 2012

Dangerous Corner, an intriguing play about relationships written by J.B. Priestley in 1932 has a fresh, new look at Crown City Theatre. Director Gary Lamb's vision brings the play into the 60s and puts the spirit of a deceased character on stage, singing, playing the piano, lounging imperiously and fluttering about as he controls the heated discussion of his supposed suicide. When it becomes clear that there are two divergent directions that the plot could take, this new charade seems entirely appropriate and, in fact, greatly enhances Priestley's perspective on disclosing truth versus half-truths. Now at Crown through November 4, Dangerous Corner has a captivating cast.
