Today Wilton’s Music Hall announces a spectacular new season for April-August 2022, with an impressive array of world-class theatre, music and opera shows in collaboration with a variety of distinguished production companies and talent.

Experience Theatre Project, Beaverton's resident immersive theatre company, presents a delectable 1920s-themed experience featuring an authentic 1927 speakeasy cocktail hour with craft cocktails, wine, beer and non-alcoholic beverages and gourmet hors d'oeuvres, with close-up magic performed by the great Craig Martin.

The 2021 lineup will be produced and performed by artists from Cape Cod, Boston, New York City, Philadelphia, Champaign-Urbana, and New Orleans. The Festival's roster of live performances will be complemented during Festival week by workshops, parties, and educational programming to celebrate the enduring inspiration of America's great playwright.

Westa??s play, in which she turned her anger at injustice into witty repartee, tells of a married but closeted high society man who throws a wild drag ball that proves to be a fateful event in more ways than one, given the various degrees of scandal going on around so many of the characters. Written under a pseudonym before she became a blockbuster Hollywood star, THE DRAG scandalized New York audiences in 1927 with its portrayal of homosexuality, transgender characters, and drag queens. The premiere production closed out of town by the authorities after two weeks of sold-out performances to appreciative audiences.

From 1927's Prohibition Era Speakeasies to 2127's Neo-Future Show it's proving to be a weekend unlike any other!

The 14th Annual Page-to-Stage event showcases more than 40 new plays by female playwrights and includes nine works that are part of the citywide Women's Voices Theater Festival, which officially begins on September 8.
