TheaterWorks Hartford presents international drag superstar and unlicensed health care provider Varla Jean Merman in her hit comedy cabaret Little Prick. This gut-busting show, co-written by Hartford-area playwright Jacques Lamarre, will offer a double-dose of fun for two performances on Saturday, June 11 at 6:30pm and 9pm. Varla will be setting up her special 'entertainment clinic' at TheaterWorks at 233 Pearl Street in downtown Hartford.

Tonight, NBC will air its sixth live musical production. Following in the footsteps of The Sound of Music, Peter Pan, The Wiz, Hairspray, and Jesus Christ Superstar, the peacock network will be presenting Annie. Based on Harold Gray's comic strip titled Little Orphan Annie, this musical tells the story of a little orphan with equal measures of pluck and positivity who charms everyone's hearts, despite a next-to-nothing start in New York City in the year 1933.

Ariana Grande, Billie Eilish, Lil Nas X, and Kim Kardashian are set to appear in Madonna's upcoming Paramount+ special, Madame X Presents: Madame Xtra Q&A. Since its release in 1985 Back to the Future has been an iconic film. It made a star out of Michael J Fox and catapulted Huey Lewis’ “The Power of Love” into a worldwide hit. Despite repeated pressure and two sequels, creators Robert Zemeckis and Bob Gale always refused to make a reboot of the original film, but the thought of a musical as a new medium to tell the story has proved irresistible.

TheatreWorks Silicon Valley will resume in-person performances when it launches its previously announced 51st season, featuring eight plays and musicals presented October 2021 through August 2022, kicking off with the new indie folk-rock musical Lizard Boy.

Award-winning actress Harriet Robinson returns to theatre with the debut of her one-person play, 'Here Comes Harriet!' written and performed by Ms. Robinson with direction by Emmy-Award winner Beth Bornstein Dunnington. Here Comes Harriet! premiered on United Solo's Theatre Festival's new streaming platform, United Solo Screen.

The long intermission is almost over and LA MIRADA THEATRE FOR THE PERFORMING ARTS & McCOY RIGBY ENTERTAINMENT have announced their 44th season of shows, and will welcome subscribers and audiences back for another exciting, joy-filled season of Broadway smash hits, concerts, comedy and much, much more!

The criteria are that these shows have been nominated for Best Musical from the 3rd Tony Awards (the ceremony that started the Best Musical category) in 1949 to the nominations of what will now be the 74th Tony Awards in 2021. I will be determining their signs based upon their Broadway premiere date. With those rules in mind, here we go!

Oklahoma City Repertory Theatre remembers and celebrates one of their founding members MICHAEL JONES, who passed away a year ago. An Emmy winner and recipient of the Oklahoma Governor’s Arts Award, Michael was a co-founder and Artistic Associate at OKC Rep. While Michael was a pillar of the OKC theatre community, he also worked all over the country. Michael touched the lives and hearts of so many he worked with. SHADOWLAND STAGES today announced that the theatre will present a special online benefit reading of CHRISTMAS EVE 1953, a short story by Tom Hanks that has been adapted for the stage by SHADOWLAND STAGES' artistic associate, James Glossman.

TheatreWorks Silicon Valley's Artistic Director Tim Bond and Executive Director Phil Santora announced today that the Tony Award-winning theatre will postpone the opening of its 51st mainstage season to March 2021, with eight plays presented through May 2022.
