Neil Young to Release Solo Album, 'Le Noise,' 9/28

Neil Young will release a brand-new solo album, entitled Le Noise, on September 28th on Reprise Records. The eight-song album is a collaboration between the acclaimed rock icon and musician, songwriter, and producer Daniel Lanois, known for his work with U2, Bob Dylan, Peter Gabriel, Brian Eno, Emmylou Harris, Willie Nelson, The Neville Brothers and many others. As producer or co-producer Lanois won Grammy Awards in 1987, 1992, 1997, 2000, and 2001.

Canadian Stage unveiled its highly anticipated 2010-2011 season today, marking the first season programmed by Artistic & General Director Matthew Jocelyn. The season heralds a bold, new direction for the company. Jocelyn seeks to redefine Canadian Stage as a centre for national and international multi-disciplinary theatre that pushes boundaries, adopts a 21st-century perspective and reflects Toronto's cultural diversity. The work will be driven by directors and auteurs at the forefront of contemporary theatre and audiences will have the opportunity to discover a new generation of story-tellers who challenge and entertain.

The Museum of Modern Art's third annual Film Benefit, to be held on November 10, will honor writer-director Kathryn Bigelow. Producers Jed Bernstein and Adam Zotovich announced today that Tony Award-winners James Earl Jones and Vanessa Redgrave will return to the New York stage this Fall to star opposite one another in the Broadway Premiere of Alfred Uhry‘s Pulitzer Prize-winning play, Driving Miss Daisy. Directed by David Esbjornson (The Goat, Or Who Is Sylvia?), Driving Miss Daisy will begin performances on October 7, 2010, at the John Golden Theatre (252 West 45th Street), with an official opening on Monday, October 25, 2010.

REDCAT Presents TRUTH, REVISED HISTORIES, WISHFUL THINKING..., 4/14-4/17

REDCAT is proud to present the West Coast premiere of Truth, Revised Histories, Wishful Thinking, and Flat-Out Lies, a new evening-length work for five performers by choreographer John Jasperse. The work features a commissioned score by composer Hahn Rowe, performed live by a string quartet from the International Contemporary Ensemble. Scenic and visual design is by Jasperse, with lighting design by Jasperse and Joe Levasseur. Presented by REDCAT, as part of the Sharon Disney Lund Dance Series, Truth will run at the Roy and Edna Disney/CalArts Theater Wednesday, April 14, 2010 through Sunday, April 18, 2010.
