Steve is the star quarterback and Mike is captain of the chess team; Roberta has just been dumped but hooks up with Kate, star of the mechanical bull-riding team.

Diversionary Theatre will stage the musical play Moscow as the sixth and final show of their 2009-2010 season. Moscow is a musical play involving three men attempting to define who they are and why they are confined together in an abandoned theatre. While enduring their 'soul searching,' they make use of their time by playing sockball and by acting out various roles from Anton Chekhov's play The Three Sisters. While self exploration, relationship conflict and gay romance are part of the chemistry, Moscow amplifies universal and eternal questions: 'Who are we, Where are we, and Why are we here?'
Zanna, Don't! is now playing at Desert Stages through April 25, 2010. Zanna, Don't! is set in a world where homosexuality is the norm, and heterosexuals are considered an oddity. The town is called Heartsville, USA. All of the characters are homosexual, or so we think, until one bold student writes a musical about forbidden heterosexual attraction in the army, and the true, closeted desires of two of the cast members come to the surface. A world much like our own and the chaos that ensues when people love who they want to, gay or straight.

Performances of the Musical 'The Jack Sprat Low Fat World Tour' begin at the Wharton Center for the Performing Arts in the Pasant Theatre on January 28th, 2010. The performance is directed and choreographed by Devanand Janki (Zanna, Don't!, Junie B. Jones) with music and lyrics by John Forster and book by Michael Mark. In 2004, Hunter Bell and Jeff Bowen created an autobiographical musical by the name of [title of show] as an entry for the New York Musical Theater Festival. The production had a ran off-Broadway at the Vineyard Theatre in 2006, followed by a brief stint on Broadway in 2008. The show is a love letter to musical theatre, and tells the story of two friends who decide to write an original work for a musical theatre competition despite a pressing deadline.
