Variety reports today that stage and screen star John Lithgow has joined the cast of 'Dog Fight,' with the previously announced Will Ferrell and Zach Galifianakis.

Lynne Meadow and Barry Grove have announced that Tony and Emmy Award winner John Lithgow returns to Broadway in the Manhattan Theatre Club world premiere production of THE COLUMNIST by Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize winner David Auburn, directed by Tony Award winner Daniel Sullivan. The musical will feature the Academy Award-winning music and lyrics of Glen Hansard and Markéta Irglová, a book by award-winning Irish playwright & screenwriter, Enda Walsh (Penelope, Hunger, The New Electric Ballroom), direction by the acclaimed Scottish director of Black Watch, John Tiffany, design by five time Tony Award winner Bob Crowley (The Coast of Utopia, Mary Poppins). Legendary actress Patricia Neil passed away yesterday, August 8, at her home in Martha's Vineyard at the age of 84. Neal had been fighting lung cancer for several years.
