In its 50th anniversary season, Pioneer Theatre Company presents William Shakespeare's The Tempest - in the year of the play's 400th anniversary.

As previously speculated by BroadwayWorld, Broadway legends Patti LuPone and Mandy Patinkin will bring their concert show, which toured the country in 2010-11, to the Great White Way this fall, the Washington Post now confirms. The pair will play the Barrymore Theatre beginning November 16. Opening night is scheduled for November 21.

Rich has now written his farewell column for the New York Times, in which he looks back on his career at the paper as first the theatre critic and until now as an op-ed columnist. In it, he notes that 'Of all the things I've done at The Times, there may be none I'm prouder of than, in my critic's days, championing 'Sunday in the Park with George,' Stephen Sondheim's and James Lapine's 1984 musical about two artists in two different eras restless to create something new. For a quarter-century now, the show's climactic song has inspired countless people in all walks of life when the time has come to take a leap. 'Stop worrying where you're going,' the Sondheim lyric goes. 'Move on.'

Roundabout Theatre Company (Todd Haimes, Artistic Director) is pleased to announce the full company of the new Broadway production of Anything Goes, starring Tony Award winner Sutton Foster as 'Reno Sweeney' and Tony and Academy Award winner Joel Grey as 'Moonface Martin.'

According to a report by Baz Bamigboye for UK Daily Mail, Michael Cerveris is in talks to reprise his role in Sondheim and Weidman's musical Road Show. Cerveris appeared in the Public Theatre production of the show 2 years ago. Road show will make its UK premiere at the Menier Chocolate Factory Theatre in London next summer.

WNET, Channel 13 in New York City, will air the concert at 9:30 p.m. that evening. Today, it has been revealed that the Image Entertainment will release the program DVD and Blu-Ray on November 16, 2010. The concert includes songs and orchestral pieces from Sondheim musical theater favorites such as Company, Follies, A Little Night Music, Sweeney Todd, Merrily We Roll Along, Into the Woods, and Sunday in the Park with George. Today, it has been announced that in addition to the PBS telecast, the concert will be released on DVD in November by Image Entertainment.

Hamingson, Executive Director) will launch The Public Forum, an exciting new series of lectures, debates and conversations that showcase leading voices in the arts, politics and the media. Curated by Jeremy McCarter, a senior writer at Newsweek, Public Forum events are open to the general public. Tickets for the inaugural event can be purchased for $25 beginning Tuesday, October 5. CHESS opened at the Signature Theatre on August 10 and will run through September 26. Written by Mamma Mia! composers Björn Ulvaeus and Benny Andersson with Evita and Lion King lyricist Tim Rice, the 1984 cult musical of Cold War competition in love and chess is being given its first major Washington area production. Chess is being performed in the fabulous intimacy of the 276-seat MAX Theatre.

The Menier Chocolate Factory announces its Autumn/Winter 2010 season beginning with the European premiere of Accomplice - part game, part theatre, part tour around the streets of SE1. Accomplice is followed by Jonathan Munby's production of Caryl Churchill's A Number starring Timothy and Samuel West, and Ken Hill's The Invisible Man directed by Ian Talbot.
