Three-time Tony Award-winning scenic designer ROBIN WAGNER and esteemed costume designer LEWIS BROWN are among the 2011 TDF/Irene Sharaff Awards recipients. The awards will be presented at a ceremony on Friday, April 8 at 6:30pm at the Hudson Theatre (145 West 44th Street). Mr. Brown was selected to receive the 2011 TDF/Irene Sharaff Lifetime Achievement Award for costume design, and Tony Award-winning scenic designer Robin Wagner will receive the Robert L.B. Tobin Award for Sustained Excellence in Theatrical Design. Sadly, Mr. Brown passed away in January of 2011. His award will be accepted by his long-time colleague and friend, Albert Wolsky, who was the recipient of the 2010 TDF/Irene Sharaff Lifetime Achievement Award

Three esteemed Harlem cultural organizations - the Apollo Theater, Harlem Stage and Jazzmobile - have joined forces to present the first Harlem Jazz Shrines Festival May 9-15, 2011.

Celebrated actress and two-time Tony Award-winner Frances Sternhagen will be joining the confluence of artists and audiences for Florida Stage's 5th Annual 1st Stage New Works Festival. Ms. Sternhagen will be featured in a staged reading of legendary playwright Israel Horovitz' new play Beverley on Saturday, February 5, 2011. On Friday, February 4, in place of the Festival's usual Keynote speech, Ms. Sternhagen will take part in what is being called 'A Conversation with Frances Sternhagen.' Florida Stage Producing Director Louis Tyrrell will conduct a public interview with Sternhagen on stage in the Persson Hall at the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts. The Florida Stage 1st Stage New Works Festival takes place February 3-6, 2011. Suffolk University is poised to open the Modern Theatre, which brings a brand-new performance space to the Washington Street Theater District while restoring an important facet of Boston theatrical history.

For this year's installment of the annual series, the Austrian Cultural Forum has found a new partner in Dizzy's Coca Cola Club. The Festival will showcase Austria's foremost young artists on five consecutive nights, and tap into a unique blend of Austrian and American creativity. This year's Festival kicks off on Tuesday, October 19th at the Austrian Cultural Forum: one of Austria's leading jazz musicians, Wolfgang Puschnig will perform with his American musical partner and free funk bassist Jamaaladeen Tacuma. Martin Reiter will also present his new solo program. Join us for some late night jazz sessions at exclusive Jazz Club Dizzy's where Christian Maurer's band Mausi will appear together with Jack Walrath and versatile alto voice Ali Gaggl on Wednesday, October 20th. On Thursday October 21st, the program at Dizzy's continues with young jazz singer Simone Kopmajer, who will perform with talented young musicians from New York. The Austrian-born drummer Gernot Bernroider and his band Oulipians will appear together with the extraordinary vocalist Chanda Rule on Friday the 22nd. The series will conclude with Franz Hackl and his Acoustic Band on Saturday, October 23rd, featuring Kenny Davis and special guest Randy Brecker.

The Japan Society (333 East 47th Street) announces its Performing Arts Season spanning Fall 2010 through Spring 2011. The City of Cleveland Heights and Cain Park proudly announce that Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street (Music & Lyrics by Stephen Sondheim, Book by Hugh Wheeler) opens Cain Park's 2010 season in the Alma Theater June 11-27 (preview June 10). Paul Gurgol, founder/artistic director of Kalliope Stage, directs this 1979 Tony Award-winning musical thriller with music direction by Jodie Ricci.

The Wilma Theater concludes its 2009 - 2010 Season with the U.S. Premiere of Leaving, by Václav Havel. The first play in 20 years from playwright and former Czech President Havel, Leaving will receive its U.S. Premiere production under co-Artistic Director Jiri Zizka's direction, with Academy Award® nominee David Strathairn (Good Night, and Good Luck) starring in the role of ex-Chancellor Dr. Vil?m Rieger.

Following four seasons of sold-out concerts, KEYS TO THE FUTURE celebrates its fifth anniversary at a brand new venue and with an even deeper mix of styles and talent.
