Joe's Pub announces their line-up from July 16th to the 19th. Performances include a reading of AMANDINE, performances from Christina Courtine, David Raleigh, Angla Di Carlo, Diblo Dibala, Spencer Day, and a showing of RYAN O'CONNER EATS HIS FEELINGS. Joe's Pub is located at 425 Lafayette Street.

To be held on Friday, July 16th at 7:00 PM, AMANDINE is a concert reading of an ambitious new musical that tales the unbelievable true story of a 19th century hermaphrodite. Raised as a girl in the convents of rural France, Amandine has her sex dramatically reassigned to male at the age of 22. With songs by Jonathon Larson Award-winner Lance Horne, book by member of the Obie-winning 13P Winter Miller (IN DARFUR at The Public, PATERNITY at the Cherry Lane) and directed by Drama Desk Award-winner Josh Hecht (CHRISTINE JORGENSEN REVEALS, THE GAY AGENDA). The extraordinary cast includes Michelle Federer (WICKED), Nathan Lee Graham (WIGOUT!) and Kate Pazakis. AMANDINE is as daring as its subject matter is provocative, and will leave you asking questions about the nature of sex, love, and personhood. Tickets are $15.

Christina Courtin performs on Friday, July 16th at 9:30 PM. As anyone who's caught one of Christina Courtin's live performances can attest, the New York City-based musician decisively takes over whatever space she's occupying, her long dark hair flying behind her as she paces the stage, her voice malleable and otherworldly, an irrepressible smile on her face throughout. It's not simply youthful bravado but a kind of rapture that possesses her-the unalloyed pleasure of singing, connecting, pouring out as much of her heart as possible in an all-too-brief set. Tickets are $14.

New York City's David Raleigh returns to Joe's Pub, hot on the heels of April's sold-out CD launch, on Friday, July 16th at 11:30 PM. Produced by Australian singer/songwriter Nathan Leigh Jones, 'Beginning Again' is piano-driven record that intertwines classic R&B songwriting with a modern pop edge. As David Raleigh will be also celebrating his birthday, this show promises to be a celebration not to be missed. Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door.

On Saturday, July 17th at 7:00 PM, comedic downtown songstress Angela Di Carlo delivers "Angela Di Carlo: Just to be Polite," an up-beat, high energy evening of original songs and bawdy wit. Backed by her band the Tight White Collars, she performs fresh tracks from her newly minted EP, 'Just to Be Polite.' Ms. Di Carlo's music spans many genres including country, rock, and even teen angst ballads which are delivered with a spontaneity and style all her own. Angela Di Carlo debuted her first solo show of original songs, "Ange Rampage" last year at The Abron's Underground and with "Ange Rampage: Uptown!" at The Triad Theater. Tickets are $15.

Diblo Dibala performs on Saturday, July 17th at 9:30 PM. A virtuosic approach to the guitar has made Diblo Dibala one of the top instrumentalists of modern African music. Dibala's 1980s recordings with soukous vocalist Kanda Bongo Man made him an internationally-recognized star. A native of Kisangani, Congo (now Zaire), Dibala moved at the age of six to Kinshasha. Beginning to play guitar, at the age of twelve, he quickly advanced on the instrument. Within three years, he was playing well enough to almost beat Zaire's top guitarist, Franco, in a competition. Franco was so impressed by his playing that Dibala was invited to join his group, The TPOK Band. Dibala remained with the group for only a short period, going on to play with Vox Africa, Orchestra Bella Mambo and Bella Bella. Leaving Zaire in 1979, Dibala temporarily settled in Brussels. Two years later, he continued on to Paris, where he discovered a thriving soukous scene. Hooking up with Kanda Bongo Man, he played a major role in the success of the 1981 album, Iyole. Dibala's playing on the album soon made him a much in-demand session player. Tickets are $17.

Performing on Monday, July 19th at 7:30 PM, vocalist-songwriter-pianist Spencer Day is an artistic vagabond, a modern-day musical nomad. Born in Utah, raised in rural Arizona, currently living in Los Angeles with extended residencies in New York and San Francisco, Day has called many places home. Along the way, he has wandered amid the expansive and diverse landscape of American music, developing an artistic sensibility that borrows from numerous sources: jazz, musical theater, cabaret, soul, folk, traditional pop and contemporary pop are just the tip of the iceberg. Day uses intuition and improvisation as his primary tools to craft a sound that is traditional and familiar, yet fresh and innovative at the same time, creating a blend too subtle to parse into neatly defined categories. Vagabond, his new release and his first on Concord Jazz, cements his reputation as a balladeer for the new century whose creative voice is distilled from the best elements of the previous one. Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door.

Written by and Starring Ryan O'Connor with special guests thar are to be announced, Ryan O'Connor EATS HIS FEELINGS runs on Monday, July 19th at 9:30 PM. Called a "big, gay, singing Kathy Griffin", YouTube celebrity, actor and singer Ryan O'Connor (How I Met Your Mother, School of Rock, American Dad), brings his dynamic, hilarious and oddly touching journey through story and song to Joe's Pub for the show's New York City debut. Including songs by William Finn, Ani DiFranco, Katie Thompson, Scott Alan, Michael Arden, Gregory Nabours and Randy Blair, "Ryan O'Connor Eats His Feelings" is a one of a kind, out of the ordinary, honest, self-effacing, non-traditional cabaret debut for Ryan O'Connor and a guaranteed crowd pleaser.
