A last-minute cast change has been made for the debut of Lyrics & Lyricists Downtown, with Jason Danieley stepping in for Michael Arden, who had to bow out due to scheduling conflicts. The premiere one-night-only performance on Monday, April 19 features the Tony Award-winning songwriting team of Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty, who have performed with Danieley in the past in Words & Music at Broadway by the Bay, and are thrilled he was available to join the cast on short notice.

Two of Britain's most innovative and acclaimed performers will bring their very different styles to the Café Carlyle later this month. Beloved star of stage and screen, John Standing, will make his Café Carlyle debut with his one-man show, 'Performing Noël Coward' from February 23 through March 6. London singing sensation Barb Jungr is returning to the legendary venue with an all new show. 'River' will play six (6) performances only from February 25 to March 6, and will launch a new series of late-night shows designed to provide an attractive new entertainment option for the Café Carlyle's sophisticated clientele.

TrueNorth Cultural Arts has announced the cast for their upcoming production of the updated version of the Maltby and Shire musical, BABY. Whatsonstage.com is reporting that the award-winning off-Broadway Musical, A Man of No Importance created by the writers of Ragtime, will get West End treatment when The Union Theatre's celebrated fringe production transfers to the Arts Theatre next month. The production will run in a limited engagement from 9 February (preview) to 27 February 2010.
