A collection of related chamber musicals focusing on the wives of American presidents and the people around them. Over Texas visits the Secretaries of Jacqueline and John F. Kennedy as they fly into Dallas on November 22, 1963. In Where's Mamie? Mamie Eisenhower travels through time and space to warn her husband off an affair and of the upcoming racial strife during his presidency. The comic Olio features Margaret Truman attempting to sing at a recital while she is constantly interrupted by Lady Bess. The final piece, "Eleanor Sleeps Here," finds Eleanor Roosevelt and Lorena Hickok flying over Washington with Amelia Earhart

Transport Group (TG), the winner of a special 2007 Drama Desk Award and 2007 and 2010 OBIE Awards, has announced that it will present the New York premiere of Lysistrata Jones, a new musical by Douglas Carter Beane (Xanadu, Little Dog Laughed) and composer-lyricist Lewis Flinn (Divine Sister) on the basketball court of the Judson Memorial Church gymnasium. Dan Knechtges (Xanadu, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee) will direct and choreograph. Previews begin May 2011 with an opening date to be announced.

The 2010-2011 season of Glorya Kaufman Presents Dance at the Music Center begins by welcoming the debut of Spain's only classical ballet company Corella Ballet Castilla y León to the Ahmanson Theatre, November 5-7,2010. The company was founded by American Ballet Theatre principal dancer, Ángel Corella to promote classical ballet in Spain and to nurture Spanish dancers and offer them an opportunity to cultivate their talent in their home country. Corella Ballet Castilla y León offers a wide repertoire, incorporating classical, neoclassical and contemporary choreography.

Another group of U.S. performers has arrived in Tokyo, Japan to begin Harmony Japan's 8th annual Disney on Classic concert tour. This year's concert features seven American singers, the world-renowned Tokyo Philarmonic Orchestra, and music from Disney's animated classic Beauty and the Beast as well as selections from The Lady & the Tramp, Mulan, as well as a suite from the 2010 Disney film The Prince of Persia. The 2010 cast, led by director Tony Clements, includes Broadway's Carey Anderson, Kate Margaret McCann, Jen Zappola, Chad Coudriet, Michael Di Liberto, and Norman Moses. Brad Kelley conducts the Tokyo Philharmonic 'Neverland' Orchestra.
