The Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center today announces several additions to the creative team for Wonderland: Alice's New Musical Adventure. According to producer Judith Lisi, president and CEO of TBPAC, Marguerite Derricks will choreograph the production and Ron Melrose will serve as music supervisor and provide vocal and dance arrangements as well as incidental music. Susan Hilferty, Neil Patel and Paul Gallo will design the costumes, sets and lights respectively, while Jon Weston will design the sound and Sven Ortel will design video and projections.

A comic tale of greed, lust... and 'American values,' Moliere's The Miser opens on the outdoor stage at The Will Geer Theatricum Botanicum on Saturday, July 25, rounding out Theatricum's five-play 2009 Summer Repertory Season.

Tampabay.com reports the news that IN THE HEIGHTS star Janet Dacal will play the leading role of Alice in the upcoming Wonderland, the Frank Wildhorn musical which is inspired by Alice in Wonderland and is slated to premiere at Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center in December. Other casting for the musical includes Karen Mason, Nikki Snelson and Eugene Fleming.

Sam Waterston, star of TV's 'Law and Order' and countless film and stage appearances, returns to the Long Wharf Theatre stage in the 2009-10 world premiere of Athol Fugard's play Have You Seen Us?, directed by Artistic Director Gordon Edelstein.

Bonnie & Clyde will run November 10 - December 20, 2009 in the Playhouse's Mandell Weiss Theatre.

An old Southern family desperately clings to tradition in a newly updated version of The Cherry Orchard. Anton Chekhov's poignant comedy, freely adapted by Heidi Helen Davis and Ellen Geer, opens on June 27 on The Will Geer Theatricum Botanicum's outdoor stage in Topanga. Davis directs, and Geer takes on the role of Lubov Andreyevna Ranevsky - 'Lillian Randolph Cunningham' in this adaptation.

San Francisco?s cutting-edge Cutting Ball Theater proudly announces the lineup for its 10th Anniversary season. The season opens in October with The Bald Soprano, Eugène Ionesco?s absurdist comic masterpiece, in a new translation by Cutting Ball Artistic Director Rob Melrose, who will also direct. On Tuesday, May 5th, CYRANO (with music by Frank Wildhorn and book & lyrics by Leslie Bricusse) opened in Tokyo to what was reported to be a rapturous ovation. CYRANO stars Takeshi Kaga (star of Jekyll & Hyde and Les Miserables) and is produced by Toho Company, HoriPro, and Fuji Television, Cyrano plays at the famous Nissay Theatre. After a run in Tokyo, the show will play Osaka at the Umeda Art Theatre and then tour Japan.

The world premiere of The Boys in the Photograph, the latest musical collaboration between Andrew Lloyd Webber and Ben Elton will take place at the Manitoba Theatre Centre in Winnipeg from April 25 to May 23, 2009. BroadwayWorld.com has learned that The Roundabout Theatre Company will be presenting a reading of the new Broadway-bound musical BONNIE & CLYDE on February 8 and 10, 2009. The show features a book by Ivan Menchell, music by Frank Wildhorn, lyrics by Don Black, direction by Jeff Calhoun and music direction by John McDaniel. Starring in the reading will be Laura Osnes as Bonnie and Stark Sands as Clyde.
