Wrapping up its record breaking 32nd season, American Stage Theatre Company has announced its 2011-2012 season for its Mainstage Series and American Stage in the Park, headlined by the Tampa Bay area premiere of two of the most important and award winning Broadway dramas in recent history.

The Sheldon Art Galleries presents two new exhibits by painter Max Lazarus in the Bellwether Gallery of St. Louis Artists and Bernoudy Gallery of Architecture. Marilynn Sheldon, Managing Director of the 5th Avenue Theatre since 1988, will be stepping down from her position by the end of this year. She will continue to advise the board and management until her current contract expires at the end of 2010.

The Living Theatre, the oldest experimental theatre group still producing in the United States, continues its 63rd season with the world premiere of Judith Malina's KORACH - a new play based on the Biblical account of Korach, 'the first recorded anarchist in history,' who challenged the authority of Moses over the Israelites; a pivotal point in their 40-year trek through the desert after their liberation from Egyptian slavery - with previews to begin December 8, prior to its official press opening December 16 at The Living Theatre (21 Clinton Street).
