DreamWorks Theatricals and Neal Street Productions, Ltd. are pleased to announce that SHREK THE MUSICAL with book and lyrics by David Lindsay-Abaire and music by Jeanine Tesori, directed by Jason Moore and Rob Ashford, will play DeVos Performance Hall, for one week only, June 21-26, 2011.

The Phoenix Theatre of Indianapolis announces Avenue Q, opening June 2 and playing through July 10, 2011 on the Phoenix Mainstage. Avenue Q, with music and lyrics by Robert Lopez and Jeff Marx and original story by Jeff Whitty, opened off-Broadway at the Vineyard Theatre in March 2003, where it gained rave reviews, and was extended four times. The Phoenix is the first regional, professional theatre to produce Avenue Q, winner of the 2004 Tony for Best Musical, with a local professional cast and crew.

KEIGWIN + COMPANY will present EXIT, a world premiere choreographed by Artistic Director Larry Keigwin, at The Joyce Theater, March 8 - 13. The evening-length work, inspired by the worlds of fashion and drama, will feature original music by electro-acoustic cellist Chris Lancaster and pianist Jerome Begin. Mr. Begin will perform live. The Joyce Theater is located at 175 Eighth Avenue at 19th Street.

For the first time, in honor of the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday weekend, the festival will also feature 'Dream Boxes' where students will record 30 second messages with their dreams for the future to be uploaded on the Internet.

AVENUE Q began preview performances at New World Stages on October 9, 2009, officially opened on October 21, and continues to play to large and happy audiences one year later. The Wall Street Journal called it 'the funniest new musical since Avenue Q.' New Line Theatre, 'The Bad Boy of Musical Theatre,' has been granted the first production rights in the country for the American regional premiere of the Broadway rockabilly musical CRY-BABY, based on John Waters' cult classic film starring Johnny Depp. The original creative team is revising the show for New Line, to make it a smaller, more intimate musical, and it will run here next season, for four weeks in spring 2012.
