As BroadwayWorld previously reported, the Tony Award-winning Broadway legend Betty Buckley will star in the first national tour of Hello, Dolly!, the Tony Award-winning Best Musical Revival, beginning September 30, 2018 in the Connor Palace at Cleveland's Playhouse Square. Producer Scott Rudin announced today that two-time Tony Award winner, and one of Broadway's most treasured stars, Donna Murphy, will once again step into the role of Dolly Gallagher Levi for six performances of Hello, Dolly!, during Tony Award winner Bette Midler's return to the Tony Award-winning Best Musical Revival.

Gavin Creel, who received a Tony Award for Best Featured Actor in a Musical for his performance as Cornelius Hackl, returns to the Shubert Theatre today, Tuesday, May 8in Hello, Dolly! starring Tony Award winner Bernadette Peters and four-time Tony Award nominee Victor Garber. While Creel was out temporarily to recover from back surgery, Tony Award nominee Santino Fontana stepped into the role of Cornelius.

On this day in 2017, the divine Bette Midler returned to Broadway in the iconic role of Dolly Levi in the smash-hit revival of Jerry Herman's HELLO DOLLY!

The Associated Press reports that Bette Midler will return to HELLO, DOLLY! on Broadway for a limited six week engagement to close out the Broadway run beginning July 17th.
