Casting Announced for World Premiere of THE LION, THE WITCH & THE WARDROBE at Imagination Stage, 6/20-8/12

Imagination Stage, in a collaboration with The Washington Ballet, has announced casting for its world premiere summer production, THE LION, THE WITCH & THE WARDROBE. In this fusion of theater, dance, and puppetry, based on the novel by C.S. Lewis, the roles of the four children are played jointly by an actor and a dancer, and the courageous lion Aslan is portrayed by a life-size puppet operated by three actor/puppeteers, similar to the puppets used in the Broadway production WAR HORSE.

The National Theatre's epic WAR HORSE, winner of five 2011 Tony® Awards including Best Play, will play Boise June 6-9, 2012. WAR HORSE is currently playing at New York's Lincoln Center Theater, in London's West End, and at Toronto's Princess of Wales Theatre in February 2012 for an open-ended run.

Entertainment industry charity 'The Make A Difference Trust' held an event at The Edge In London's Soho Square, sponsored by ‘I Am SOHO' and hosted by Heart FM's Toby Anstis, to launch their much anticipated show, ‘West End Eurovision 2012'. West End Eurovision, now in its 5th year, sees 12 West End casts, including such shows as Legally Blonde, Phantom of the Opera, War Horse and Les Miserables, produce fully costumed, choreographed versions of a past Eurovision Song Contest entry.
