HAIR Closes London Sept. 4

The Tony Award-winning revival of HAIR: The American Tribal Love-Rock Musical will bow early in the West End on September 4, 2010, producers have revealed. While the production was scheduled to run through January 2011, the producers have reportedly decided not to recast the show after the current cast's contracts are up on September 4. The production opened at the Gielgud Theatre in London's West End April 14th, 2010.

Musical numbers for the 2010 Broadway on Broadway concert (www.broadwayonbroadway.com) were announced today by The Broadway League and the Times Square Alliance. La Cage Aux Folles star Kelsey Grammer will host the 19th annual concert, which is presented by HUE Leggings and Continental Airlines and officially sponsored by The New York Times, to be held this Sunday, September 12th at 11:30am in Times Square. The annual free outdoor concert brings together stars and performances from current and upcoming Broadway productions to celebrate the beginning of the Broadway season. For the 3rd consecutive year, Alex Lacamoire will be the Musical Director of Broadway on Broadway.

The New York Times reports today that LA CAGE's most temperamental Cagelle, Nick Adams, will be joining the cast of PRISCILLA, QUEEN OF THE DESERT. Assuming the familiar role of yet another drag queen, Adams will play the role of Felicia in the North American company of PRISCILLA, which will open at the Princess of Wales Theatre in Toronto on October 12 before heading to Broadway next spring.
