Last night, March 20, Priscilla Queen of the Desert celebrated the musical's landmark one year anniversary at the Palace Theatre before the show with the stars cutting the "Priscilla Pink Pie Face Pie" from Australia's most celebrated Bakery cafe "Pie Face." Following the celebratory performance, Priscilla's half millionth audience member was crowned on stage along with a secret "Oprah-style" prizing moment and a special surprise performance from the cheerleading squad "Cheer New York." The stars of the Tony Award winning hit musical Priscilla Queen of the Desert, Nick Adams and Kyle Brown and Priscilla producer Scott Mauro celebrated Fashion Week in New York City this week at the 9th Annual Woman's Day Red Dress Awards to support the American Heart Association at Jazz at Lincoln Center's Allen Room. Mauro also produced the Red Dress Awards show and festivities that were hosted by 'The Today Show's' Hoda Kotb. Earlier in the week Nick Adams also took to the Mercedes-Benz Fall 2012 Fashion Week runway to model designer Malan Breton's new Fantome Collection.

The Tony Award®-winning musical, PRISCILLA QUEEN OF THE DESERT, produced by "The Divine Miss M" Bette Midler, is collaborating with the makeup line NYC New York Color for a special makeup line inspired by PRISCILLA - "Color Your World: Makeup for Everyone." The line consists of eye and lip makeup, including mascara, eye shadow, lip stain and lip gloss, available exclusively in select Duane Reade stores throughout NYC through January 2012.

Yesterday, July 26 at 4:00pm the stars of Broadway's new Tony Award® winning musical PRISCILLA QUEEN OF THE DESERT, perform some of the show's classic dance floor hits at a special live performance at The Apple Store in SoHo.

In the 2010-2011 season, PRISCILLA QUEEN OF THE DESERT was honored with three Best Musical award nominations from the Drama Desk, Drama League and Outer Critics Circle Award organizations. Olivier Award nominee Tony Sheldon has also received a Tony Award nomination for Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role in a Musical in addition to Drama Desk, Outer Critics Circle and Drama League nominations and the Theatre World Award for outstanding Broadway debut. Sheldon was also honored with a Tony nomination as were costume designers Tim Chappel and Lizzy Gardiner, who took home the prize. In celebration of the nominations, the company took the stage at the 2011 Tony Awards on Sunday with a performance of 'It's Raining Men' with the song's composer Paul Shaffer and original songstress Martha Wash. Following hit productions in Australia, London and Toronto, PRISCILLA QUEEN OF THE DESERT THE MUSICAL opened to critical acclaim on March 20 at the Palace Theatre (1564 Broadway). The show will give its 100th performance on Broadway, tonight, Friday, May 27th, and the cast recently celebrated the milestone with a Cupcake Toast. On Thursday, April 28th, Renaissance Hotels and RLife LIVE, presented a special performances by renowned DJ Mia Moretti and electric violinist Caitlin Moe and the cast of Priscilla Queen of the Desert, all as part of an exclusive gathering co-hosted by superstar Cyndi Lauper. The event, also sponsored by American Airlines with cocktails courtesy of GREY GOOSE® Vodka, included a silent auction with proceeds benefitting Cyndi Lauper's True Colors Fund in an effort to engage everyone on LGBT equality and respect, while raising awareness about LBGT youth homelessness. Family Equality Council, America's foremost national advocate for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) families, held the organization's annual New York City awards dinner last night, Monday, April 25, 2011 at Pier 60 in New York.
