The television station of the City University of New York (CUNY TV) is proud to announce the launch of a new monthly theater interview program, THEATER: All the Moving Parts. The show, hosted by veteran journalist and commentator Patrick Pacheco, will debut on March 15, 2019, at 9:30 pm with Theresa Rebeck ("Downstairs", "Bernhardt/Hamlet") as the inaugural guest. It will also be streaming at tv.cuny.edu so that anyone can watch it online.

Iris Theatre launched its first summer season in 2009 with an acclaimed outdoor promenade production of Romeo & Juliet. That's what witches do.  So the Witches are the preoccupation of First Maria Ensemble's upcoming production of 'Macbeth,' directed by Celeste Moratti, to be presented December 6 to 21 at Teatro Circulo, 64 East 4th Street.  The company made an auspicious debut in 2016 with 'Hamlet,' which Theater Pizazz (JK Clarke) called one of the season's best small-company productions of Shakespeare plays and Front Row Center (Holli Harms) added, 'Here is hoping that Celeste Moratti continues on this trajectory of directorial discoveries.'

The best-selling Russian crime fiction writer Boris Akunin's new stage adaptation of Shakespeare's HAMLET will debut this spring Off-Broadway when Red Lab Productions and Roust Theatre Company present HAMLET. One year ago the members of the Adirondack Shakespeare Company were scattered in the emergency room at Glens Falls Hospital, at Albany Medical Center, on a remote hillside in North River frantically calling family members and friends of five people who were in a terrible car crash. It was the day the cast was arriving; and instead of having pizza and an introductory Welcome-to-the-Adirondacks meeting, they were reeling with shock and fear, and wondering if everyone was going to be alright.

ADK Shakes will perform Songs of the Iroquois: Turtle Island, Hamlet, and Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead for students and for the public from September 27 through October 16.
