Eric Schaeffer, artistic director of Signature Theatre, announced today that two-time Tony® winner George Hearn will join another two-time Tony® winner Chita Rivera for Kander & Ebb's musical The Visit - a highlight of Signature Theatre's national Kander & Ebb Celebration in the spring of 2008.

Tony Award-nominee Hank Azaria stars as David Sarnoff, and Jimmi Simpson as Philo T. Farnsworth in Aaron Sorkin 's new American play about the advent of television, The Farnsworth Invention, directed by two-time Tony Award winner Des McAnuff, opening on Broadway at the Music Box Theatre on Wednesday, November 14, 2007 with previews beginning on Monday, October 15, 2007.

For the first time Tony and Academy Award Winner and Broadway legend Joel Grey will be headlining at The Night of 1000 Voices. He will be joined by the current Phantom in Las Vegas, Anthony Crivello, Tony Award Winner for his performance in Kiss of The Spiderwoman, Ruthie Henshall and members of the Cast of Avenue Q and special guests. Laurence Maslon authored the companion coffee table book to the recent hit PBS series, BROADWAY: The American Musical. For that special, he also wrote two of the episodes, and the accompanying booklet for the CD set. It seemed a perfect time to check in with this theater historian on the book, the TV special, and of course - about Broadway.
