STAGES St. Louis Launches New Brand Identity

STAGES ST. LOUIS continues to experience a steady growth in revenue while expanding its Musical Theatre programs. The 2013 Season broke all previous box office records, with nearly $2 million in ticket sales. The season saw a significant increase in box office revenue of 8% over 2012 sales, out-grossing any season in STAGES' 27-year history. Over the past five years STAGES has increased revenue by over 14%. The forecast for 2014 is looking even brighter as revenues are already up by $200,000 over 2013.

ON KENTUCKY AVENUE, a musical revue based loosely on fact and mostly fiction about the people and performers who took the stage and filled the tables at the majestic Club Harlem 'on Kentucky Avenue' in the north section of Atlantic City from the 1930s until the late 1980s, will make its NYC commercial stage debut at STAGE72/THE TRIAD, 158 West 72nd Street, on Sunday, February 2, with performances at 3pm and 7pm and Monday, February 3 at 7pm in honor of Black History Month.

The most wonderful time of the year is underway as Goodman Theatre's A Christmas Carol begins its 36th annual production. Directing the holiday favorite for the first time, Henry Wishcamper's production features all-new on stage magic-set elements, special effects and more. The cast of 27 (below, includes 14 new and 13 returning cast members) stars Larry Yando, who most recently appeared in Mary Zimmerman's production of The Jungle Book as Shere Khan, in his sixth turn as Ebenezer Scrooge and 8-year-old Matthew Abraham as Tiny Tim for the second year. Museum of the Moving Image's ongoing series See It Big! presents classic and contemporary films on the big screen in the beautiful Sumner M. Redstone Theater. In November and December, the Museum will showcase 22 films photographed by some of the world's greatest cinematographers, including Gordon Willis, Vittorio Storaro, Vilmos Zsigmond, Nestor Almendros, Raoul Coutard, James Wong Howe, and more. The series, See It Big!: Great Cinematographers, runs from November 8 through December 29, 2013.

July is bursting with musical magic when Eddie Bruce & Friends illuminate the waterfront on Thursdays in Philadelphia at SugarHouse Casino. The shows begin at 8 p.m. and run through 11 p.m. except on the July 4th holiday when it will be 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. On that date Eddie is joined by vocalist Michael Richard Kelly, on July 11th Eddie calls singer Paula Johns to the stage, then on July 18th Charlene Holloway joins the juncture, followed by Eddie fusing with Edgardo Cintron on July 25th. Eddie Bruce & Friends can be seen every Thursday in The Refinery restaurant and bar at SugarHouse. SugarHouse is located at 1001 N Delaware Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19125 with free parking. There is no cover, no minimum. Guests must be at least 21 years old to enter the casino.
