The Quetzalcóatl Prophecy was introduced to the indigenous population by the technologically and spiritually advanced Teotihucano spiritual leaders. It stated that the contemporary world would began a spiritual transition in the year 1987. That a new world would began its creation. Many prophecies and theories have been created that allude to the how the world would end. While some like author Richard Flores have theorized, not a destruction, but a rebirth and transformation for mankind in his book "Journey to Aztlantica".

This enlightening book takes a more subtle approach towards the Quetzalcóatl Prophecy, reasoning that the constant degenerating trajectory of capitalistic systems will be a direct and perilous negative influence on the future stabilities of world societies and governments. It shows how the old-world economic worldview is set to regression and is conducive to social disintegration. This book alludes to the need for individuals to prepare themselves to confront and survive the extreme calamities of a future in peril. It also calls for the building of an alternative economic system as a way to change the human character and its behavior. This book is calling for the development of new economic, social, cultural and spiritual models. It is calling for humanity to establish a respectful and balanced relationship with the natural world.

"Journey to Aztlantica" is a truly eye opening read that stresses the need to cross over to a new reality. It calls for the adoption of the circular worldview of reality. In order for humanity to survive adequately into the future and create a sustainable world in which it can live, prosper and advance: individuals must first transform themselves before they can transform the future.
