Theater J, the nation's pre-eminent professional Jewish theater, announces its 2017-2018 season, comprised of six diverse plays, including one world premiere and two regional premieres.  Artistic Director Adam Immerwahr has selected works by Jonathan Safran Foer, Alfred Uhry, Nilo Cruz, Mark St. Germain, Karen Hartman and Lindsay Joelle, as well as a stellar line-up of directors and actors.

Marcie Gorman-Althof and Michael Lifshitz, the producing partners behind MNM Productions, one of South Florida's hottest new theatre companies, today announced that Alpert Jewish Family & Children's Service will be the exclusive nonprofit partner for the May 18 preview performance of its next production, Monty Python's SPAMALOT, which will run May 19 through June 4 at the Kravis Center's Rinker Playhouse.

The question of gender parity in the theatre is a matter that has long been explored within our community. While recent Broadway seasons have taken encouraging steps toward better female representation, both on and offstage, the question of gender equality within the theatre continues to be a hotly debated issue across the theatrical sphere.

Rehearsals began this week for the revival of John Guare's critically acclaimed play Six Degrees of Separation starring seven-time Emmy Award winner Allison Janney ('Mom,' The Girl on the Train) as Ouisa, Tony Award winner John Benjamin Hickey (The Normal Heart, 'Manhattan') as Flan and Corey Hawkins (Straight Outta Compton, '24: Legacy') as Paul. Directed by Trip Cullman (Significant Other, Yen), Six Degrees of Separation will begin previews Wednesday, April 5 prior to the official opening on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at the Barrymore Theatre. The production will play a 15-week run through Sunday, July 16.

Cameron Mackintosh's acclaimed new production of Boublil and Schonberg's legendary musical MISS SAIGON - a recent smash hit in London - returns to New York at its original home, The Broadway Theater (1681 Broadway) beginning performances tonight, March 1.

Overture Center welcomes Les Ballets Trockadero de Monte Carlo, also known as The TROCKS, to Overture Hall for one night only on Friday, February 24 at 8 p.m. The program will include Le Lac Des Cygnes, Pas de Six from Esmeralda and Don Quixote.

Laura Osnes' journey to Broadway was anything but ordinary. Having competed on the reality series GREASE: YOU'RE THE ONE THAT I WANT, she went on to win and make her Great White Way debut as a brunette Sandy in 2007. She proceeded to make craterous impressions on Broadway, replacing Kelli O'Hara in Lincoln Center's SOUTH PACIFIC, as well as originating the role of Bonnie in BONNIE & CLYDE, earning the first of her Tony nominations, followed by the titular Cinderella in Broadway's first production of the Rodgers and Hammerstein classic, for which she earned her second. Osnes will return to Feinstein's/54 Below on November 27, kicking off a string of four shows in which she travels down the roads that might have been, performing songs from roles she nearly booked but, for one reason or another, never came to be. Producer Stuart Thompson announced today that John Guare's critically acclaimed play Six Degrees of Separation will return to Broadway this spring in a revival starring seven-time Emmy Award winner Allison Janney ('Mom,' The Girl on the Train) as Ouisa and Tony Award winner John Benjamin Hickey (The Normal Heart, 'Manhattan') as Flan. Trip Cullman (Significant Other, Punk Rock) will direct the production, which is set to open at the Barrymore Theatre in April 2017 and will run for 15 weeks only.

The prolific eight-time Academy Award-winning composer---perhaps best known for his decades of unforgettable work in several landmark Disney animated musicals---was on hand to unveil a world premiere concert entitled 'A WHOLE NEW WORLD WITH ALAN MENKEN' on September 30, 2016 at Orange County's Segerstrom Center for the Arts in Costa Mesa. Part cabaret concert, part one-man retrospective story time/show-and-tell, this 'trial' showcase, he hoped, would serve as the springboard for what is to become a series of similar concerts celebrating his enviable career thus far.

Museum of the Moving Image will present the most comprehensive U.S. retrospective of all of the Polish director's features, short films, early documentary work, and a marathon viewing of the Dekalog, from October 7 through November 6, 2016. In 1991, against all naysayers, Geoff Elliott & Julia Rodriguez-Elliott started a resident theatre company in Los Angeles to perform - the classics. The married couple, together with fellow American Conservatory Theatre alumni Art Manke, inaugurated A Noise Within. Today the Elliotts run ANW as co-producing artistic directors.
